DO NOT READ UNLESS READY FOR AN OPEN DISCUSSION
Reading a book recently about a days-long meeting with scientists, psychoanalysts, and the Dalai Lama, one learned that the human brain is more active during sleep than when awake. Watching my dog dream, one supposes the same is true of some animals. One seems to recall that only 1 animal doesn’t dream, and it seems that was an armadillo, anteater, or some such easy sleeper. Don’t quote on that bit of trivia.
ANTI-SOCIAL LEADERSHIP
The following news stories encourage the opinion that greed may be at the bottom of many of the troubles of society, including poverty and war. These are topics that should be aired openly and discussed from the view of different people. As one with an overriding concern for the environment and opposition to Climate Change, the health of people and nature are the subject.
PATTERNS OF SUPPRESSION
Patterns are fascinating and informative. Despotic tendencies break down into components that can be less identifiable as suppressive. These components may seem individual but may also culminate in a common result. Several such components follow—
FOOL ME TWICE….
Patriarchy and hierarchy endorse Shontel Brown. Think long and deep, voters. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice………
TERROR OF SOCIALISM
The capitalistic hierarchy that disdains the concept of worker-owned co-op business, may insinuate a notion that the lifeblood of business, which is the worker, is outside of the mechanism and therefore unworthy of standards of employment. Laws to protect workers have a low chance of passing when lawmakers are contained in positions of power by big-money campaign donations from big-money and commercial interests. Capitalism is the protection of hierarchy, not of workers. This isn’t the concept of free markets, but seems more nearly indenture.
CENTRALIZED HAUTEUR
C-Span would be of service to offer ideas about a peace budget. We don’t have one at this time. We do however have a very expensive Pentagon budget that seems a prerequisite to maintain business as usual.
JANE MUST EXPLAIN
C-Span offered a glimpse from the view of Jane Harmon (D-CA) about her idea of American governance and policy.
AMERICAN COMEDY
The first discussion on C-Span today asked about the Pentagon-budget request from Biden. The first caller set the tone of comedy as this person who identified as calling from the UK where he must enjoy his nation’s 1-payer government-run health care system urge Americans to dump more money into the Pentagon due to the dangers around the world. The dry humor from this caller masks the irony and insult of the call.
AMNESIA AS PUBLIC POLICY
Corporate-owned-state-run MSM has an easy job in broadcasting news when the public has the focus and memory capacity of a gnat. A different view can be spewed each day with little to no comment from consumers.
INSTABILITY
To use the jargon of “The West”, one refers to masculine and feminine. This is most emphatically not to imply it is about men and women, it is only colloquial to speak to the audience. One can as easily refer to yin and yang or cause and effect. And so, fewer people would be able to relate. Balance is hopeful and would benefit everyone.
THE OTHER RUSSIA….LIKE THE OTHER USA
Patriarchy lives in world oligarchs. The aggression and violence are endemic with most of these people, to gain supremacy and power.
WORLD’S LARGEST dEMOCRACY
Capitalism thrives in India as arrogantly as it does in the USA, along with Establishment assertions that both are democracies, but where both are controlled by a collaboration between commercial interests and government politicians and bureaucrats in a fashion that feels exposed to fascism. The result is a system in which hierarchical authority grows and the wealth of the nation transfer from the 100% to the 1% in a way that isn’t similar to democratic (small d).
DEFINE SANCTIONS
Is anyone else feeling the embarrassment of threats by the USA of sanctioning other nations? Joe Biden asked the Middle East to ramp up oil production to ease the upward spiral of gasoline costs in the USA and they said no. Is this a sanction? China possesses American jobs used to manufacture products needed by the American public and with China in control of the amount if any of the products getting to the USA. Is this a sanction?
LEAD BY EXAMPLE
Remembering that the Haudenosaunee are said to be the origin of principles included in the US Constitution that don’t appear to rest on a foundation of capitalism but rather on a foundation of free enterprise as pertains to but are not limited to financial matters, hope continues that culture as lived pre-colonization can triumph. Time will tell. Meanwhile, Upstate NY is benefiting, so far, from said leadership. The hope builds that we remember nature and the wilderness.
WHY SHOULD WOMEN OWN WOODS?
Filling out the following NYS survey about broadband and asking my husband the answers to questions about which I am uninformed, he asked, “why are you doing so much work for them for free?” Good point. The reason was I was ultimately wishing to ask about our electrical grid that goes out periodically for no reason. This is a more crucial issue than broadband. Again one wishes to remind that our NYS NYSEG utility company is owned by a company in Spain, which nation is quite friendly with Russia. More power to them, but another FACT is the increasing electrical rates in our area, the unreliable service, and the enormous cost transferred from local-community, poverty-burdened Upstate NY people to wealthy corporations in Spain.
