DEFLECTION
Some people recognize Trump for the deflection that has been his use by the Democratic/Republican duopoly. Meanwhile the real issues that impact the lives of the public go unaddressed.
HISTORY AND CURRENT EVENTS
One has immersed oneself in study of historical Christianity due to ignorance on the topic, and wishing to enlighten oneself. The reason is that one seems to live in what is tending toward a Christian theocracy. The take away from historical reading including said info being straight as possible from the horses’ mouths (Josephus and such) supports the following personal views—
WAR, WATER, AND ELECTRICITY
Use of the word “forgets” (link below) is extremely diplomatic. Real intellectual gymnastics are needed to ignore NATO intrusion onto the borders of Russia. At the same time one condemns the Russian invasion into Ukraine, childish trust is required to overlook the same from NATO toward Russian security.
GENERATORS OR STADIUMS?
An important and ignored topic is the negligence from elected officials and bureaucrats toward the local community members in the USA. Some politicians seem to cater to the whims of big-money interests using the deflection of the importance of the economy. The so-called economy envisioned by these bureaucrats and elected officials seem to be limited to the transfer of the wealth of the nation from the 100% to the 1%.
A LIFETIME OF TSUNDOKU
Here’s the deal…..after a lifetime of self-denying reading space for topics of personal interest, in order to dedicate time and energy to career studies and obligations to our capitalistic system, retirement has offered the lull to read that which is personally enjoyable and interesting. Nothing being perfect, one grapples with the self-imposed sense of guilt that has been a prerequisite to earning a living over said 45 years. And now one is listening to politicians who raise their own salaries with the flick of a pen, into law, call retirees welfare recipients. But the political pay raises may be hard earned due to the work of indoctrinating the public, which can’t be easy work.
DEMOCRATIZING THE ECONOMY
As long as we’re going to fixate on the economy rather than principles of our democratic Constitutional republic, we could start by democratizing the economy.
POLITICS AND RELIGION
Transparency seems important if people are to have the ability to understand the complexity on topics our politicians make decisions about, for the US public. RT has been censored out of the US media line-up. As one who believes one receives propaganda via RT, one also recognizes the propaganda is no more nor less than received byway of CNN, MSNBC, or FOX. This is the reason diversity in news sources is important, along with individuals who are aware enough to compare and investigate upon one’s own.
RESPONSIBILITY AND WAR
Free will implies responsibility. War is a characteristic of neither free will or responsibility.
REALITY WHEN IT IS NOT A SHOW
Is the working class trying to send the message to the ruling class, “don’t push any harder”?
IS IMPERIALISM WAR?
When those who perpetuate predatory exploitation get to define their actions, many others suffer and are forced to do so in silence.
AWARE
Apparently based in Sweden……As one who hasn’t eaten meat since 1990, living in a hunting area in Upstate NY, and who know hunter neighbors, this isn’t a surprise. Life is complicated. The best we can do is the best we can.
PRIORITIZE HEALTH
The US government seems more involved in policing the globe than protecting the US public. Lack of a 1-payer universal health care policy is an example, at the same time the Pentagon is absorbing the wealth of the nation with no accountability and in FACT with disturbing evidence of having misplaced $22,000,000,000,000 (with a T) of taxpayer money. C-Span hosted a discussion in which a caller questioned the reason for foreign aid to Israel, that is a wealthy nation. Where is that money going and to what end? Why is a wealthy foreign nation prioritized over a US public that is in need?
CLEAN WATER STANDARD RATHER THAN A GOLD STANDARD
Indoctrination means limitation of the ability to generate ideas. The dollar can be pegged to clean water standards. Why don’t we try that?
REAGAN CONCEPTS WERE A NATIONAL SECURITY RISK
We still are subjected to Conservative propaganda of the Reagan wonder years that were a lie then and are rewritten history today. The harm to We The People is real and the time needed for the public to understand the extent of the lie, and then to act accordingly, may be long. Denial seems to be the reason for ongoing Reagan worship in the same way as is the denial in ongoing Trump worship.
