Capitalism thrives in India as arrogantly as it does in the USA, along with Establishment assertions that both are democracies, but where both are controlled by a collaboration between commercial interests and government politicians and bureaucrats in a fashion that feels exposed to fascism.  The result is a system in which hierarchical authority grows and the wealth of the nation transfer from the 100% to the 1% in a way that isn’t similar to democratic (small d).

Discussing government with a fellow financial guy, I mentioned the role of women in Indigenous government and received the reply, “they got chiefs, don’t they”, at which point I gave up.  That was probably in 1995 or so; in 2022 one doesn’t succumb so easily.

Both Biden and Obama are creatures of oligarchy and shoe-horned into office assisted by big-money campaign donations.  Obama considered whether to take corporate campaign donations and came down in favor of it as the best way to win the Presidency.  And so, as heard by a Democratic strategists of C-Span yesterday, you dance with them that brung you.    Everyone is aware of the shell game by the meritorious James Clyburn to usurp Joe Biden into the Presidency.
And so we have an oligarch vs oligarch military action threatening; which by the way should be the responsibility of the US Congress, not the President, who should instead be playing Executive, not dictator.
Is issuing sanctions an act of war?  If so, and why aren’t we talking about that, Congress needs to take that responsibility, not one lone crusader.  Especially one whose family figures so largely and loudly in the finances of the Ukraine.

C-Span offered a discussion on our 3 branches of government in honor of Presidents Day.  This was very interesting and in FACT the callers offered ideas that are critical to supporting our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  The most important idea is that Congress is more powerful than the Executive Branch.  This is important because it is the voice of We The People.  The Presidency has become more nearly dictatorial than Executive.
In turn, Congress has become impotent and one hopes this isn’t due to feminization (sic).  Patriarchy is artful in promoting enablers.  Enforcement of ladylike behavior is the tool.

A topic that didn’t arise is Citizens United, that legalized without legitimizing corruption in government.  This seems a reason the Presidency seems to have become quasi-dictatorial and protects personal interests over national security.   An example is the threats of military and/or policy aggression toward Russia over the Ukraine.  Adherence to the US Constitution would make this a non issue for our 3 branches of government, in order that the US government can function for We The People.
Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly.  Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism.  Some people vote accordingly.
