NATURAL RIGHTS AND PRIVACY

C-Span hosted a discussion about the US history of wire taps.  Also mentioned seemed to be the view that such surveillance as used by tyrannical government in modern times, originated and were perfected in the USA.  That’s an interesting notion if FACTual. read more

BREAK THROUGH

C-Span hosted a discussion this morning on the topic of ranked choice voting.  The benefits of choice using ranked choice are entering the thought process of more voters, and may one suggest due to efforts by 3rd-Party voices.  The D&R duopoly haven’t spread information about ranked choice voting benefits to voters for obvious reasons of control that underwrites the authoritarian character of the duopoly.  This also raises the topic of the influence of 3rd-Party voices that may have been censored by regulations from the  R&D duopoly, that have still managed to censor said voices off of ballots and away from debates, but but which 3rd- Parties nonetheless have broken through to some of the electorate by nothing more than moral authority. read more

SURPRISE IS DISENGENUOUS

Intersectionality may illumine some people about that which women……especially white women (to use the phrase coined by Democratic Party campaign strategists)……have too often been aware throughout history.—– read more

QUESTIONS, ANYONE?

Marija Gimbutas is an archaeologist who expresses controversial views.  Controversy seems to originate from views of past cultures that aren’t embedded in patriarchy, or one may say yang.  In the following LA Times story about her, you will find many said criticisms.  Many women, however, could be interested to consider that women throughout history were vital members of society.  That aggression and violence have often defined “the winners”, one shouldn’t be surprised that history is written by said “winners”. read more

ANTI-SOCIAL LEADERSHIP

The following news stories encourage the opinion that greed may be at the bottom of many of the troubles of society, including poverty and war.  These are topics that should be aired openly and discussed from the view of different people.  As one with an overriding concern for the environment and opposition to Climate Change, the health of people and nature are the subject. read more

RECOGNIZE CENSORSHIP

What does it say when the topic of censorship raises the question as to whether a particular situation applies to school curriculum or to parents.  Shouldn’t interests be similar; and if interests are not similar, should this be a matter of concern? read more

EST. CHAUVINISM

Similar to the history of Jesus, the Establishment interpretation of the ideas of The Founders are quite different from what can be understood by reading their words.  Not only The Founders had a diverse and sophisticated view of government, but also what in 2022 could be called “influencers” also could be eye-opening.  For example, having heard but never read the ideas of Thomas Paine, who is said to have influenced views for liberty, to read his ideas is fascinating and heartening.   read more

EGO WANTS WHAT IT WANTS

WHO ARE WE?

Who doesn’t understand the motivation of Zalensky and in FACT who wouldn’t act the same in his shoes?  And this may be how history is rewritten to fit the Establishment script.  The movement of non-violence that was the foundation of ideas from MLK, Jr. has been white-washed for political expediency by capitalists who are posturing as pro-democracy when an informed person can understand that capitalism is hierarchical and antithetical to democracy. read more

WHEN STATE RUNS NEWS

As a 70’s Feminist, skepticism would be the attitude with which to hear the views of an Iranian Ayatollah.  But to understand how others view the USA only seems intellectually honest.   read more

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Power can be derived from the allure of wealth while other power is derived from integrity.  Eventually the pain to the electorate from bedazzlement of wealth may be replaced by recognition of power as a result of integrity.  It’s like turning an ocean liner. read more

CHALLENGE DELUSION

Indoctrination seems to be an ability to pretend to what can be obvious isn’t.  This works best, it seems, during group think.  Apparently it is soothing to agree with others, even if that requires delusion. read more

AMERICANS

The label of American can be used to include many more people than those residing in the USA, but to use this definition to exclude US citizens seems interesting.
