JANE MUST EXPLAIN

C-Span offered a glimpse from the view of Jane Harmon (D-CA)  about her idea of American governance and policy.

Washington Journal

Jane Harman on Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine

Former Representative Jane Harman (D-CA) talked about the Russian Invasion of Ukraine and U.S. national security issues.–end of c-span info–
Of interest was total vacuous emptiness on the topic of the real-time interests of the American public.  She was however, voluble about what can be described as imperialistic positioning on the world stage.  After admitting her desultory vote to promote the War In Iraq which she admitted was a mistake, she went on to describe her prophetic insight pre-9/11 that the USA would be attacked by terrorists.
No s–t, Sherlock.  Who didn’t know that?  For those who remember the pre-9/11 era,  of “the blind cleric”, the bombing in the Trade Center basement, and other quite obvious events, prophecy wouldn’t be the word to describe the danger faced by the USA.
https://time.com/6096903/september-11-legal-history/  —  As they say, crisis offers opportunity.  The opportunity was a transformation of the USA from a democratic (small d) Constitutional republic into an hierarchical and authoritarian governance in the name of safety.  The question is, safety for whom?

The Democratic/Republican duopoly have ensconced their power and self-interest by scrubbing out of discussion, any views other than their own.  The interests of the American people have been delegated below that of hierarchy in a way that feels dictatorial.
As questions began to be raised during the 2020 Presidential campaign, about lack of support or concern by politicians for requirements of We The People, the nervousness of both branches of the R&D duopoly has been assuaged by the opportunity of the Ukraine-Russian War.
And so,we listen to Jane Harmon pontificate her past prophetic realizations pre-9/11 that terrorism was about to happen, while she tempers pride by admitting to having voted for the erroneous War In Iraq.  Gee, Jane, if you could foresee the danger the USA faced, why didn’t you do something about it.  Instead, over the time period since, this is reality—*Trade agreements have sent good-paying American jobs to foreign nations*The USA is at the mercy of foreign nations for manufactured products that we require*Health care has become exponentially more costly while the US mortality increases*The USA requires but does not have a 1-payer-comprehensive public heath care policy that would remove the middleman and provide less complicated and more practical application of care*Women are legislatively losing rights over their own body*Voting rights are no longer guaranteed*Transfer of the wealth of the nation from the 100% to the 1% has become so ubiquitous as to have been accepted as democratic (small d) by too many of Americans*Climate Change is displacing US communities into refugees and health is mitigated due to environmental devastation*Student debt shackles US youngsters from the beginning of their work years*The US has the highest incarceration rate in the world*Establishment is warning the US public of looming food shortages to be expected (more prophecy without legislative action)  It’s almost like its their governing style*The “oops” War In Iraq seems to have been a “good” war—–https://www.nationofchange.org/2022/04/13/from-mosul-to-raqqa-to-mariupol-killing-civilians-is-a-crime/So what are our “Representatives of The People” discussing?  Apparently nothing less foreign than intervention in the Ukraine-Russia War:  That, by the way, the USA seemed instrumental in stirring.  —-But the United States and its allies have waged war in country after country for decades, carving swathes of destruction through cities, towns and villages on a far greater scale than has so far disfigured Ukraine. —-end of noc info–
Jane, Jane, Jane…….how do you explain? Your style and tone are masterly but the words fall short of meaning…..
https://www.facebook.com/mav.moorhead/posts/10224578855370280  –Confirming again what we all know…–end of facebook post–VOTE ACCORDINGLY….

Politicians should feel shamed by the FACT that within the time spans of many of their positions in Congress, US youngsters have become so misled as to believe they need to form advocacy groups to go hat-in-hand to big-money campaign donors and commercial interests to beg for their right to vote.  Rather than pretend to concern about democracy in foreign nations, democracy in the USA would be a good starting point for our feeble examples of leaders.
One focuses on Jane Harmon because her performance on C-Span seemed a caricature of bad governance, and she is a Democrat.  This does not imply that the Republican branch of the D&R duopoly is better.  They just aren’t in power currently.

From lakotalaw——         The Dakota Access pipeline’s threat level is at an all time high for the people of the Standing Rock Nation. In a new video we made in partnership with Standing Rock, you’ll see the distressingly low water levels in the Mni Sose, our sacred Missouri River. You’ll also hear Chairwoman Janet Alkire address the oil company’s lack of adequate emergency response planning for the pipeline’s inevitable spill. It’s critical you stay with us and be ready to assist as soon as the Army Corps of Engineers releases DAPL’s Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).As you heard a few weeks back, an Army representative came to Standing Rock to meet with tribal leaders from across the Oceti Sakowin. He listened to presidents and chairpersons, elders and community members, and he told us he heard our concerns. We hope that’s true. But since that day, it’s been a game of wait and see, with no movement from the Army and no release of the EIS — which, of course, was prepared by a pro-oil firm. It’s almost as if they know we’re not going to be happy unless the pipeline is shut down, and that we have a legion of supporters ready to engage in favor of an honest process. In my dual capacities as Lakota Law’s co-director and a special consultant to the chairwoman’s office, I’m here to amplify your voices and those of my people. Lakota Law’s communications and technical teams have been hard at work for months helping the Alkire administration upgrade the tribe’s digital infrastructure and outreach capabilities. As part of that, we also collaborated with the tribe’s Game and Fish Department to access remote areas of the reservation and film 30 miles of the river, capturing first-of-its-kind, comprehensive drone footage near DAPL’s crossing. As you’ll see, the footage shows clearly that water levels are dangerously low, and that any spill would pose a special threat right now.We will continue to do whatever we can to support Standing Rock and all those within the Great Sioux Nation to push back against Big Extraction. And, of course, we’ll keep you updated on developments. Please stay tuned and ready to take action!Wopila tanka — thank you for always standing with Standing Rock.

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly.  Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism.  Some people vote accordingly.I———————–That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.
