One was mollified to hear Senator Schumer give a discussion that seemed sane and humane about the genocide toward Palestinians. This is a marked difference from his preliminary reaction on the topic of the Israeli/Hamas conflict that seemed to be the opposite side of the coin from anti-semitism. You really can’t have one without the other.
OPPORTUNITY
It;s been quite a while since autoworkers were laid off, factories in the US closed, jobs shipped overseas, and the beginning of incredible profits by the auto industry and fabulous payout to CEO’s. Workers remaining took drastic pay cuts, lost benefits, and were denied a defined benefit retirement plan.
AI REPLACEMENT OF CEO’S
CEO’s per capita absorb more wealth from a company than do workers per capita. Logically AI should replace upper management rather than workers.
GOVERNING AS CAMPAIGNING
Governor Hochul has put into place an inducement for sex work. Sex work should be decriminalized. But more to the point, we need universal health care that would be less costly and more inclusive and that could serve more of We The People, including sex workers.
IS HEALTH POSSIBLE IN CAPITALISM?

The bait-and-switch heard in the USA that capitalism is anti-state is used along with lies that capitalism uses free-market concepts. But the most dangerous lie from capitalistic hierarchy is that US-current ideoogy about anti-state-ness is unshackled from imperialism and colonialism. The blatant FACT of requirement of The Military-Industrial Complex to maintain global supremacy by American oligarchs should be a topic of discussion.
NEWS TELLS A STORY
While the system of capitalism is lauded by beneficiaries of a Pyramid Scheme economy as being the best for most people, the news reports tell a different story.
