One can commiserate with the plight of a young MSM talking head challenged with news of indictment of her Senator father for bribery, and still notice the MSM/political Party revolving door that has undermined public trust in a Free Press. read more

C-Span hosted a discussion with Trump acolyte Stephen Moore, in which Mr. Moore criticized as being our largest issue, inflation; and then adding that Climate Change is irrelevant (paraphrase). read more

US imperialism is based upon the notion of “spreading democracy” around the globe as the US inflicts capitalism which is hierarchical and anti-democratic upon American citizens at home.  Reagan accosted America with Reaganomics so now Biden in a strange twist of emulation chooses to hook his star to the “Trickle Down” principles and has self-labeled policies as Bidenomics.  So Biden can inflict “Trickle Down” without saying the offensive reality. read more

C-Span offered a vibrant discussion about socialism v capitalism in Congress today.  The USA is mega capitalist.  Here is an informative perspective read more

As I watch Katy Tur interview Byron Donald on MSNBC on 1/26/2023, one appreciates her attempts to clarify his rhetoric.  Especially strained is Mr. Donald’s statement that we must never cut taxes on the oligarchs, because they are the money makers (paraphrase).  If that statement held water, the USA would not have a large national debt.  Mr. Donald talks fast, possibly to avoid clarity or explanation. read more

Conversations about tariffs are long overdue.  Tariffs that support sale of US products are sensible.  When the products add to Climate Change as compared to products from foreign nations, an obvious problem has arisen.  While the Trump tariffs seem to have been imposed on only a targeted group of products, it is of interest that after imposition prices of many products manufactured in foreign nations automatically rose, even if the Trump tariff wasn’t imposed upon those particular products. read more

Does anyone believe the Establishment-imposed sanctions by elite US politicians do harm to any other than poor people?  This includes the poor people of the USA  as sanctions circle back onto the US public byway of high fuel prices and especially byway of, for example, the Trump tariff that was sold as an imposition upon China but is in FACT a tax on products manufactured outside of the USA and sold to the US public, when manufacturing has been outlawed in the USA by bad trade agreements inflicted by politicians at the behest of their corporate campaign donors promoted by Citizens United.  The collaboration center for negotiation of such laws as have imposed inflation (price gouging) on the US public, may be found at www.alec.org. read more

As one who supported Kaepernick for months before it became popular, and by the way simultaneously objected to the “b” word due to self respect, one was amused when the tipping point in favor of Kaepernick happened when the “b” word was used by Trump, that garnered attention because suddenly-awakened people said it was a negative reflection on mothers, from groups who previously used the “b” word as a commonplace. read more

In the ’80’s, when Trickle Down was just beginning to be inculcated by Establishment and the wonders of globalism were envisioned (how did that turn out?)  a derogatory put-down to people who were skeptical, was the label Luddite. read more

One is under informed about the details of the following story about Brazil to analyze the contents.  But where one finds symptoms it is logical to look for a disease.  We know democracy is diminishing at an alarming rate around the globe ad most markedly in the supposed bastion of democracy called the USA.  Hierarchy are gaining wealth at the expense of the majority of humanity and this is explained by “running government like a business”.   Climate Change is too obvious to be denied by any other than the most dedicated environmental exploiters.  Climate Change is a price paid by Earth and humanity to promote hierarchical Establishment financial interests. read more

C-Span hosted a discussion about immigrants at the Southern Border, and within these discussions one will hear the phrase “people fleeing communism”.   As one who recognizes communism and capitalism to be opposite sides of the coin of hierarchical privilege, we could look at both sides of this topic.  Otherwise indoctrination seems to be the point.

https://popularresistance.org/decolonizing-the-mind/       –Yet anyone who questions the monarchy’s role as part of the western axis of domination is rarely given access to media, making it difficult to be free of propaganda that is used to elicit fealty to monarchs, presidents and the people and institutions who empower them. From childhood we are taught that invaders of other nations, enslavers, and colonizers are worthy of respect and admiration. Centuries of criminality are passed off as benign and we are admonished to remember that the criminals in question were “products of their time” and are to be thought of with fond reverence.

From popularresistance info–https://popularresistance.org/a-socialist-take-on-the-womens-march-convention/   —  The form of “intersectionality” promoted by non-profits conveniently forgets that we live in a capitalist system that profits from all forms of oppression. While rhetorically they claim to unite our struggles, in reality they’ve kept these struggles separate in the streets; the unity of our struggles is manifested for them at the polls and in the Democratic Party.

A feminism that wants to grasp our problems at the root should understand that all systems of oppression are currently inscribed within capitalism — and capitalism is a system that profits from all of our oppression. It’s a system that can only run due to the exploitation of workers — with the most exploited sectors being workers who are Black, Brown, and from the global South — for the profit of the very few.

The “dirty permitting side-deal” would allow industry to fast-track fossil fuel projects while sidelining communities, producing more pollution, and ignoring the reality of the climate crisis.

A railroad strike would promote an immediate spike in inflation.  Here’s a thought…..reports recently suggest the social security COLA won’t be as respectable as was once assumed because “inflation is moderating”.  One has always been a bit ambivalent about unions because they seem to be another set-up for just another hierarchical cronyism.  If we really supported a free market, unions would be irrelevant.  All of these details aren’t lost on politicians, industry and union leaders.  A cynical person might believe the darling railroad-strike aversion put into place in the last hours, was kicking the can down the road long enough to sneak through a lower COLA for social security for elder Americans.

Indoctrination begins very early in life.

From Ralph Nader—https://mailchi.mp/nader/liberating-tweens-from-corporate-tentacles-5o9o9d3keo?e=cfd1bea9b5  —

In recent decades, the open floodgates of direct marketing of anything and everything to kids has become a half-trillion-dollar annual business. Every mode of seduction, manufactured peer group pressure and minute psychological profiling is delivered by highly-paid promoters, packagers and influencers.

Claire has long believed that if you have low expectations for Tweens, they will oblige you, but if you have high expectations, they will surprise you. Her book offers suggestions that encourage communing with nature, enrich family discussions, appreciate the wisdom of the ancients, and to use proverbs to extend the ability of children to concentrate.

The story of several oligarchs pulling strings behind the scenes obscures the more relevant story of institutionalized hierarchical process that feels too similar to a Pyramid Scheme economy.  Fascism may more nearly be the correct definition since the system is held in place less by persuasion and more by laws. read more
