So voting works. Transparency in political campaigns is recommended. Sometime-offensive questions asked of those who would presume to leadership is a voter responsibility. If the electorate finds a Christian Nationalist has been foisted off as a legitimate leader, push back is possible and desirable.
REVERSE COLONIALISM
The economic impact feels to local community members like colonization, but the oligarchs wage this scenario by moving away. Exploitation of local natural resources (environment) and human resources (people) by capitalists can leave local communities in ruin.
COMMODIFY
Even the most dedicated Establishment sycophant may conclude that our political, societal, economic, and natural realms are collapsing. The system purported to be the answer to life on Earth, seems not to be. Yet those indoctrinated into the Establishment rut seem unable to consider a different way.

So what’s up with the fear of calling it what it is? People are railing against predatory capitalism that is destroying life in the USA while careful to assure capitalists that they are pro-capitalist.

GIFT ECONOMY
At about 1:20PM on 3/31 listening to npr (apologies for failing to get the name of the Russian professor who was assessing effect of sanctions on Russian oligarchs) she informed that the sanctions on Russian oligarchs were personally harming the oligarchs without effecting their influence on Putin. This soundly reinforces the view from some people that Putin is challenging fascism (Western values) in Ukraine from a position of what may be ostensibly seen as the perspective of the concept of a Tsar.
IS THE END OF THE WORLD MORE ACCEPTABLE THAN THE END OF CAPITALISM?
Have we as yet embraced the reality that we are at risk of harming our environment to the extent of no return, as the price for maintaining capitalism? We seem not to have embraced the FACT that capitalism is not democracy. We haven’t accepted that we are not “a 2-Party system”, even with the specific warning from a founder President George Washington to beware of political Parties due to conflict of interest. So unsurprising parallel path of deteriorating environment due to exploitation with the path of capitalism, that will eventually intersect.
