Drawing out an idea that would otherwise harm a long-time and successful shoe repair shop that is still in demand after 50 years, one wonders at the fatuous approach by our leaders.
FREE ENTERPRISE ISN’T CAPITALISM–Disappointment with Mayor Kraham originates with his prioritizing wealthy developers over the 50-year long business leaders in The Southern Tier who exhibited the true spirit of Free Enterprise rather than the Pyramid-Scheme tactics of hierarchical capitalism.
Without the sordid crutch of nepotism and cronyism that has become the wallpaper of local politics, true business leaders launched honorable careers in the face of the wind of corruption and self-interest. Add to this that business leaders launched said careers perhaps before the birth of Mayor Kraham simply adds to the distaste for a roiling ol’ boy network.
LIFE IN AN OLIGARCHY
LIFE IN AN OLIGARCHY
In the inane gluttony embraced by so many Americans that has transformed a democratic Republic into an oligarchy in which human resources (people) are abused as easily as are natural resources (the environment) for profit, “running government like a business” is showing its criminality.
EDUCATION
C-Span hosted a discussion with Susanne Bonamici (D–Oregon) and Glenn Thompson (R–Pa) on the topic of career and technical education in the USA.
MAN MADE DISASTERS
C-Span hosted a discussion with Trump acolyte Stephen Moore, in which Mr. Moore criticized as being our largest issue, inflation; and then adding that Climate Change is irrelevant (paraphrase).
HE KNOW HOW TO PLAY AMERICANS
C-Span–9:10AM–caller speaking about Trump–“He know how to play Americans”.
MERGER BETWEEN STATE AND CORPORATE POWER
Definitely indicative of dictatorship. This is what “running government like a business” looks like.
BUSINESS PRACTICE IN GOVERNMENT
News reporting concern for animals without including use of commercial actions that may undermine what is purported to be efforts friendly to pets, needs to be considered. Well-meaning rote without full information seems to be subterfuge by omission. This may seem acceptable as we run government like a business, and it may simply be another facet of bait-and-switch.
BEWARE THE MESSAGE THAT WE ARE NOT A DEMOCRACY
Over the last several decades, and on the wave of Citizens United tyranny and greed, many politicians in the US Capitalist Party (Democratic/Republican duopoly) have passed laws that support trade agreements that are good for hierarchical commercial interests but not for We The People. American jobs were sent overseas and products required by the US public are controlled by foreign interests. One doesn’t understand the reason this isn’t the “government run like a business” that on a continuum becomes organized crime.
In desperation to cover their tracks, politicians have exchanged policy for racism and sexism in campaigns in order to control a deluded electorate. Local small business is replaced by national chain retailers that retain workers at poverty wages. Said poverty wages qualifies workers for government aid when it should be the responsibility of the employer to pay living wages and provide benefits to workers. The shift of cost from the employer to the public seems fraudulent. The poverty wages cuts down on income taxes and social security payments from workers’ paychecks that should support the government that is drained of resources in order to transfer the wealth of the nation from the 100% to the 1%.
DOMESTICATED FOR COMMERCE
Perhaps stories must be gathered together to help the public follow the dots of information. During political campaigns corporate-owned-state-run MSM do not act as a Free Press but rather as an arm of the campaign for either branch of the Democratic/Republican Duopoly. We The People predominantly want a 1-payer health care system but big-money interjected via Citizens United dictated a different electoral outcome.
