PEOPLE ELICIT DEMOCRACY
Gratitude to Bill Huston for reminding that the delicate topic of Home Rule has been incidental to CELDF, which offers a democracy school. In other words, this group reminds We The People that human rights are relevant, and how best to secure them.
NEWS BLACK-OUT
This summer we seem to have reached a tipping point about effects of global warming on humanity and nature that would permit denial as an obviously inane view. And so Establishment has assumed a policy of mitigation as to the impact, rather than dealing with the underlying anomalies of lifestyle that contributed to the global warming. This seems to be a policy that indulges big-money campaign donors who profit by the harmful policies that contribute to global warming, and is based on dependence of lawmakers on the largess of Citizens United, to their personal well being. This leaves out attention to the needs of We The People.
EXTREME MALE OR EXTREME FEMALE
Avoidance of Dr. Phil presentations due to similarity to Jerry Springer-imagined free for all, was short-circuited this week when awaiting the local news which airs just after Dr. Phil, one stumbled onto the following, which was an interesting perspective.
EMPATHY FOR BILLIONAIRES
The following story offers an opportunity for delicacy of understanding that may be lost on the average hierarchical capitalist. We are watching an interesting attempt at elite dignity as they ‘splain away continued support for foreign and sometime-enemy monopolies playing out across the USA.
TRICKED INTO BETRAYAL OF NATURE
So many ads seem dedicated to indoctrination for profit, away from the normal, respectful and easy relationship between humanity and nature. This marketing strategy is harmful to both nature and people.
AMERICAN DREAM
The foundation of democracy is individual involvement and the dream of America is the ability for citizens to so act. A troubling parallel arises between the PRC and the USA, both of which are republics, as we watch the democracy that is the function of We The People, not of government, is restricted by the hierarchic Establishment. If the common impulse toward peace must be stifled to protect oligarchical control of the global elite, what are we to make of the American Dream of democracy?
NATURE RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS
Too soon to get worn down, boys and girls. Nature is our ally, and we are hers’.
ROLE OF MSM IN CLIMATE CHANGE
One is grateful for a perspective relating to wildfires that include the FACT of Climate Change. The Central NYS region experienced AQI of far over 400, and this is dangerous. As much as one appreciates the local news reporting that focuses on capitalism as our savior, to insinuate that “experts” he has heard inform that wildfires such as the one in Canada are normal seems to do a disservice to intellectual honesty.
SUICIDAL NATION
One feels enough hasn’t been stressed about the underlying rot of authoritarian governance that permeates the USA. Having lightly mentioned a topic that should be prominent in the concern of We The People, is the habit, as in addiction, of products foisted upon the public without assurance of safety.
FERCY JERKY DEMOCRACY
So how is banning action by AI different from the following——fantasies that included spreading disinformation, engineering a deadly virus, and… stealing nuclear access codes.——–different from current foreign policy and military action in the service of oligarchs? Is the deflection to reining in AI meant to take the pressure off of the dictatorial hierarchy of oligarchy? Technology has outpaced human ethics, but to target technology instead of ethical behavior is absurd.—–
NATURAL OPULENCE
C-Span hosted a discussion about water this morning. Water is as important as are bees to the survival of everything.
NATURE AND MENTAL HEALTH
Some people have consistently recognized the association between good mental health and nature. A reason is that people are of nature. American re-education of the public into a consumer mindset has artificially substituted Establishment interests in place of nature to the extent of mental health harm to portions of the public and society in general.
