WAR, WATER, AND ELECTRICITY
Use of the word “forgets” (link below) is extremely diplomatic. Real intellectual gymnastics are needed to ignore NATO intrusion onto the borders of Russia. At the same time one condemns the Russian invasion into Ukraine, childish trust is required to overlook the same from NATO toward Russian security.
https://popularresistance.org/ukraine-war-tolls-death-knell-for-nato/ –The whole point is that the Western commentariat largely forgets that Russia’s core agenda is not about territorial conquest — much as Ukraine is vital to Russian interests — but about NATO expansion. And that has not changed.

This could be the right time to notice that all war is enacted by the elite for their quasi-personal reasons, but surely to maintain an elitist status generally speaking, The price of war is not paid by the beneficiaries, but rather by the local community.
https://popularresistance.org/antiwar-activist-faces-repression-in-germany/ –June 22, 2022, was the 81st anniversary of Nazi Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union, and a prominent German antiwar activist took the occasion to publicly question why the German government is now supporting neo-Nazi organizations in Ukraine.
As a result, that activist is now facing the possibility of up to three years in prison.

To be anti war brings attention to the advocate in the West and surely in the USA. The attention is not benign.
Maybe the Western story that Russia is filled with gray factories and sad people may or may not be accurate. What else may be questionable? — https://twitter.com/NinaByzantina/status/1608004950520639488?cn=ZmxleGlibGVfcmVjcw%3D%3D&refsrc=email –Some Moscow metro stations are bona-fide works of art. And now the city allows couples to get married at Mayakovskaya metro station at night when no one is using it.

We might notice the spotlight upon the problems in other nations while ignoring that that is rampant in our own back yards.
https://wildhunt.org/2022/12/new-research-says-bipoc-communities-still-exposed-to-unhealthy-water.html —TWH – Water is a revered substance in many faiths. Witchcraft and Paganism have a deep respect for water as one of the spiritual elements. Hinduism refers to water as one of the five great elements. Water, of course, is essential for life.
The availability of fresh, healthy water is also under assault. Five years after the Flint, Michigan water crisis, the crisis is not over. A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are among the lingering effects of that crisis. They found “high rates of presumptive depression, PTSD, and comorbid mental disorder were found among adults living in the Flint community, although it is important to note that many adults were resilient.”

Of interest would be a comparison between Ukrainians without adequate utilities such as electricity and clean water, as compared to the same in the USA.

The NED was founded in the 1980s to promote propaganda and regime-change operations in the service of U.S. imperial interests. Allen Weinstein, the director of the research study that led to creation of the NED remarked in 1991:
A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA.—end of mronline info—
C-Span was interesting this morning, with a topic asking the way one’s experiences shape their political view. A caller touched upon his interaction with a so-called homeless person about how he could afford his cell phone. The reply according to the caller was that the government supplied the cell phone. This is curious on several levels, and one shares a few thoughts—-
*Inculcation of several generations of children into misunderstanding the wisdom of paying for services rather than better uses of funds
*In the same way children have been indoctrinated into believing that to hold a degree fro an institution of higher learning for which said child obligates to an ostensible life long debt, is a good idea, children are also indoctrinated into desiring to pay for services rather than to build personal security
*Why is the government paying for said ethereal services rather than building shelters and homes?
*Why isn’t anyone concerned about a government advocating a devise that monitors the whereabouts of large numbers of citizens, and particularly using tax-payer funding
The caller informed on a very timely topic; many thanks to C-Span.
Watching the terror in Western NYS due to the snowstorm, one wonders about municipal planning. Rather than to cater to businesses, a plan can be included for, for example, community garages. Perhaps a street garage that would clear the streets of vehicles during snowstorms, with parking near enough for walking to one’s home. Maybe a community garage midway in the street would be helpful. One would think the residents would be interested when they don’t need to dig out their vehicle.
