The US Constitution doesn’t sanction electoral control of elections by Party Bosses, but that is where we find ourselves in 2023. Even if the Democratic Primary voters choose Marianne Williamson, the Democratic Corporate Bosses will shoe-horn onto the ballot Joe Biden. This is diabolic in relationship to free and fair elections.

We still are subjected to Conservative propaganda of the Reagan wonder years that were a lie then and are rewritten history today. The harm to We The People is real and the time needed for the public to understand the extent of the lie, and then to act accordingly, may be long. Denial seems to be the reason for ongoing Reagan worship in the same way as is the denial in ongoing Trump worship.

The view from Mitch McConnell is predictable when one considers reports of his familial connections to commercial interests in China. National security for American oligarchs is often imagined in terms of “protecting American interests overseas” which is commercial interest in foreign nations.
WHAT WE VOTE FOR
A democracy requires FACTual information and this implies a Free Press. Notoriously the news sources in the USA are owned and controlled by only several corporate entities that seem as involved in disseminating reports as they may be in donating to political campaigns. This further implies that commercial interests and governance are closely connected.
WHEN TECHNOLOGY WORKS
C-Span isn’t coming in this weekend, as it often reacts when there is a heavy cloud cover. The less technologically-touchy NPR, however, is coming in just fine. All the technology required is to plug the radio into the wall, if our local grid is still functioning. Advertising has ignored the FACT that the more complicated the technology, the less dependable it is. And so do our industry-purchased politicians so ignore. But the money is nice.
