A LIFETIME OF TSUNDOKU

Here’s the deal…..after a lifetime of self-denying reading space for topics of personal interest, in order to dedicate time and energy to career studies and obligations to our capitalistic system, retirement has offered the lull to read that which is personally enjoyable and interesting.  Nothing being perfect, one grapples with the self-imposed sense of guilt that has been a prerequisite to earning a living over said 45 years.  And now one is listening to politicians who raise their own salaries with the flick of a pen, into law, call retirees welfare recipients.  But the political pay raises may be hard earned due to the work of indoctrinating the public, which can’t be easy work. read more
