An important and ignored topic is the negligence from elected officials and bureaucrats toward the local community members in the USA.  Some politicians seem to cater to the whims of big-money interests using the deflection of the importance of the economy.  The so-called economy envisioned by these bureaucrats and elected officials seem to be limited to the transfer of the wealth of the nation from the 100% to the 1%.

NYS is currently experiencing an intense winter-weather event and especially in the Western portion of NYS.

***People in the Southern Tier have watched a business model from politicians that includes ‘splaining to the locals the reason they want a baseball stadium

***Nothing against baseball stadiums, but when funded by taxpayer dollars and benefiting oligarchs from outside of our region, questions are logical

***Some people believe better use of said funding can be imagined

***Some people have suggested more support for local health care, day care, or funding for local first responders, many of whom are volunteers

In light of the tragedy that is unfolding in Erie County, here’s another few ideas.  The money could fund larger snow plows and sanders, and how about each Upstate NY household receive a generator?

Whoever can’t imagine the need for a household generator in Upstate NY, hasn’t spent 4 days without electricity (heat) in an Upstate NY snow storm.  The USA spends untold dollars on military equipment, and currently for Ukraine, while local US communities go begging and worse.

These are reason some people are less spoil sports on the topic of ball stadiums than they are  enthusiastic on the topic of lifesaving measures for the locals.

Also we could have manufacturing facilities in the region for said lifesaving equipment, along with local installation and maintenance of equipment, that would keep the wealth of the local community local.

Curious is the ongoing reminder from obsolete energy industries that solar and wind energy production isn’t reliable.

One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?

Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
