ON THE SIDE OF GOOD
Ongoing work of Greenpeace and Jane Fonda, and by the way Lillie Tomlin, remind us of the benefit that can happen when people understand the good work that can occur from serious integrity.
DEFINE PROGRESS
We have allowed predators to set the definition of progress in terms of greed, competition, exploitation, and aggression. Progress could be defined in terms of peace, good health, and equality. While we’re at it, we could consider the function of money may be obsolete. You can’t eat money, nor can you breathe money.
STRIVING FOR FREEDOM
The USA has presumed capitalism as “our system”, rather than regard for principles of a democratic (small d) Constitutional republic. Capitalism has a goal of profit. Profit in the USA means money. People who have no money and are attempting survival under capitalism do not have freedom.
MATURE LEADERSHIP
PR for political parties Democratic and Republican seem to groom their clients to maintain a sorority/fraternity persona, that harms most people attempting real life. It’s also not a good look for a leader. Maturity and interest seem better.
IDENTIFY THE THREAT
Complexity on a topic is recognized by some people at the same time another group will see none. Centralization that also can be found in globalism mean hierarchical personalities set a standard to which a very diverse public is required to meet. To meet this arbitrary standard may not produce a healthy society.
CRITICAL CROSSROAD
In one person’s view, the same oligarchy that thrives by dividing Americans does the same around the globe. The US Constitution doesn’t include requirement that the USA police foreign nations, nor that we support an oligarchy. Who can say in the USA of 2022, that we are not an oligarchy? A symptom is the deep division that surely is promoted by a Democratic/Republican duopoly that has been buoyed into power byway of big-money campaign donations legalized without being legitimized by the Citizens United decision by a highly questionable Supreme Court.
THIS IS CAPITALISM
Apparently Marjorie Taylor Greene has been denied access to something or other. Whatever her problem, she is barred from a private enterprise outlet. Private enterprise has the right to run their business according to their personal policies. This is the reason employers can mandate, for example, dress codes and masks. Some private corporations even mandate a woman’s health-care coverage access to birth control.
YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER….
BUT YOU CAN’T MAKE IT DRINK…………….
The silver lining behind Democratic Establishment misogyny as campaign strategy has been a spotlight on bird watching. The precious importance of birds that continues with or without misogyny deserves such attention
WHEN INDUSTRY WORRIES ABOUT THE SOUL OF THE COMMUNITY
This morning C-Span hosted a conversation that seemed to migrate back to voting rights and voter cognizance. Cognizance seems more imperiled than rights, one may say. Little is mentioned about the erroneous “2-Party system” about which one constantly hears, and also little is discussed about Citizens United which is the Supreme Court decision that permits money to buy politicians which appears to be corruption. We should avoid the appearance of corruption in our political process, or we are not following the model of a democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.
ORIGINAL SIN OF A NATION
The history of the USA is taught to the public from the perspective of hierarchical Establishment. The FACTS of our history are far different and spoken if at all in hushed whispers. One monumental FACT of American history must be the witch hunts of New England. We all know of them, but more as a fairy tale than as the reality of our nation.
RAIDERS FOR JUSTICE RATHER THAN Profit
Capitalistic PR indoctrinates into prioritizing material possession as the height of human achievement. That this possession comes with a contrasting decrease in principles of fairness and justice isn’t questioned. A system of education that would be better used to teach self-reliance, autonomy, and ability to self-govern is instead used to train into compliance to hierarchical demands and consumerism. We could explore the possibilities of a human life other than as a component in an economy that so dramatically buoys interests of hierarchy at the expense of everyone else. Put plainly, what’s in it for everyone else?
WHY NOT DYNASTIC GOVERNANCE?
I’m thinking the chaos Americans are living through in 2021 is one reason to reconsider rule by dynasty family. Cronyism may be the step before such government that seems opposite to principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic. Self-interest is the motivation. As Bernie Sanders said when asked the reason for his unchanging policies, he spoke to the unchanging character of problems in the USA ignored by government. This is a reason to consider once again that political parties hold little to no sway in the US Constitution, while the voter does have standing under our US Constitution.
