CRITICAL CROSSROAD

In one person’s view, the same oligarchy that thrives by dividing Americans does the same around the globe.  The US Constitution doesn’t include requirement that the USA police foreign nations, nor that we support an oligarchy.  Who can say in the USA of 2022, that we are not an oligarchy?  A symptom is the deep division that surely is promoted by a Democratic/Republican duopoly that has been buoyed into power byway of big-money campaign donations legalized without being legitimized by the Citizens United decision by a highly questionable Supreme Court.

https://socialistproject.ca/2022/01/ukrainians-far-from-unified-on-nato/#more    –NATO membership remained a cause of only a small minority within Ukrainian society until the tumultuous events of 2014. As a result of Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the start of the war in Donbas, support for NATO membership jumped up to about 40 percent. However, it was still not embraced by a majority of Ukrainians.–end of socialistproject info–
In NYS, attention to protection of people and nature is heartening—-https://ny.audubon.org/news/key-takeaways-governor-kathy-hochuls-2022-state-state-address?ms=aud-email-advocacy_20220106_(ny)_state_of_the_state_address_2022_&utm_source=ea&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=advocacy_20220106_(ny)_state_of_the_state_address_2022_&emci=037597cc-fd6e-ec11-94f6-c896650d923c&emdi=ff5e20fa-016f-ec11-94f6-c896650d923c&ceid=399811   —ALBANY, NY (January 5, 2022) – In today’s State of the State address, Governor Hochul announced several proposals that will benefit birds, other wildlife, and people–end of nyaudubon info–
People with different styles of thinking are often denigrated in a system that has raised to an art, economics with little to no regard for life itself.  This can be seen as a definition of advertising.  And so we have a culture in which so-called “positivity” is demanded by Establishment-occupied individuals.  The outcome of this system is that with which we live today.  Reality has been prioritized far behind advertising.  People seem to have a difficult time understanding reality.—-

Based on the above examples and others, it is possible that enhanced rationality is yet another part of the constellation of characteristics associated with autism (though an understudied and not well-recognised one).–end of aeon info–
The inability of too large a number of the public to consider reality had resulted in, for example, Bernie Sanders who had real policies to express, undermined by corporate-owned-politically-influenced MSM, in order to promote the interests of so-called “positivity” in candidates.  Media promoted personality (not character) over policy during campaigns.
Another example noticed recently is the outcry from Kevin McCarthy that Marjorie Taylor Greene was being censored because she was excluded from some private-enterprise platform.  The Same Republican/Democratic duopoly within which both of these politicians thrive, have embraced fascism which is collaboration between politicians and commercial interests in government:  In other words, “running government like a business”.  Censorship is a charge against government toward the public, not against commercial interests toward the public.  The confusion from Kevin McCarthy appears to highlight the common view from supporters of fascism that only “the other” will be harmed by authoritarianism.
This brings to mind the following—https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/martin-niemoeller-first-they-came-for-the-socialists      –Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation1:First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.–end of info–
Money seems responsible for politicians and bureaucrats who dare to walk to the edge of the appearance of corruption that previously seemed wise to avoid.  Several examples—-*Exchange of paper ballots for so-called technological advancements that were flimsy and easily manipulated*Occupation of Presidential debates by the Democratic/Republican duopoly that removed inclusion of 3rd-Party views*Occupation of Presidential debates were supported by taking debates out of the non-partisan hands of The League of Women Voters*Globalism on the topic of money only, and not about human rights or environmental rights*Transfer of jobs from the USA to foreign nations in compliance to dictates of commercial interests*Politicians promoted trade agreements that harmed environmental rights and human rights of Americans in order to comply to big-money interest demands*Citizens United legalized without legitimizing corruption in elections by the decision handed down by the Supreme Court*A Supreme Court that is irrevocably partisan*Where was Establishment over the decades in which Trump worked his magic against ordinary citizens with impunity, and gave political contributions to politicians?*Insinuation that “we are a 2-Party system”, that has given us as election show, 2 Parties fighting for power in place of honest voter choice of competent leaders
Today Republicans and Democrats bemoan the absence of trust from the US public, after politicians have enriched themselves at the expense of democracy and We The People.  The embarrassingly naive view from Kevin McCarthy that Marjorie Taylor Greene is owed a voice by a commercial enterprise is especially precious.  How shallow can a politician become?
Fascism is about commercial interests collaborating with government.  When one hears the quip that under fascism, “at least the trains ran on time”, one is watching the hubris of those who don’t remind that those trains were running toward concentration camps.  Apologies for bringing up such horror.  But the wide-eyed innocence by which American politicians are playing with fascism deserves statement.
Indoctrination by a common-core style of education has given us a public dazzled by the concept of progress, even though the progress inflicted is of greed, exploitation, and privilege.  Those who urge caution are vilified.  The result is the world in which we live today.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly.  Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism.  Some people vote accordingly.I———————–That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.
