KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
Power can be derived from the allure of wealth while other power is derived from integrity. Eventually the pain to the electorate from bedazzlement of wealth may be replaced by recognition of power as a result of integrity. It’s like turning an ocean liner.
CHALLENGE DELUSION
Indoctrination seems to be an ability to pretend to what can be obvious isn’t. This works best, it seems, during group think. Apparently it is soothing to agree with others, even if that requires delusion.
DEFINE PROGRESS
We have allowed predators to set the definition of progress in terms of greed, competition, exploitation, and aggression. Progress could be defined in terms of peace, good health, and equality. While we’re at it, we could consider the function of money may be obsolete. You can’t eat money, nor can you breathe money.
A BETTER PATH
With so many meaningful paths that can be followed, why are we on an apparent road to ruin of capitalistic hierarchical control?
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY
Some supporters of Bernie Sanders remain proud of their 2020 Democratic Primary choice, due to quality.
THE “F” WORD
One hears hierarchical characters such as the President and corporate-owned-politically-influenced MSM warn Americans against fascism. One wonders where the warnings were about predatory capitalism that on a continuum seems to follow one of 2 paths; either fascism or organized crime. Which system under which we suffer should be the conversation.
WHEN INDUSTRY WORRIES ABOUT THE SOUL OF THE COMMUNITY
This morning C-Span hosted a conversation that seemed to migrate back to voting rights and voter cognizance. Cognizance seems more imperiled than rights, one may say. Little is mentioned about the erroneous “2-Party system” about which one constantly hears, and also little is discussed about Citizens United which is the Supreme Court decision that permits money to buy politicians which appears to be corruption. We should avoid the appearance of corruption in our political process, or we are not following the model of a democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.
HEALTH AS PERTAINS TO PEOPLE OR CAPITALISM?
The topic this morning on C-Span probably effects most people in the USA. The disappearance of so-called middle class jobs happened after chain stores had obliterated locally owned small businesses. Any politician who couldn’t connect the dots didn’t deserve to be in office due to ignorance. But that so many politicians have become wealthy during this era seems to confirm corruption. The worship of Reagan, then Obama, then Trump, seems to be the story of withering compliance and enabling by the general public.
IF THE STATEMENT IS OBVIOUS IT MAY BE A FACT
At the risk of “stating the obvious” which in the mind of some people is a FACT, in our oligarchy we have the choice of supporting this anomaly of government by either carrying a burdensome national debt or by each individual carrying debilitating personal debt. Another option is to challenge obscene wealth, fraud, and corruption.
NEWS TELLS A STORY
While the system of capitalism is lauded by beneficiaries of a Pyramid Scheme economy as being the best for most people, the news reports tell a different story.
THE MORE YOU KNOW…
The topic C-Span discussion this morning was motivation for so-called Representatives of The People to act in ways suggestive of corruption. The Supreme Court seems acting in ways supremely sycophantic to capitalistic hierarchical Establishment, including legalizing money in the electoral process byway of Citizens United. This is getting far too meager attention, incomprehensibly, and is corruption. The US government is supposed to avoid appearance of corruption, but seems to have become so corrupt as to be unconcerned with appearance and seem to wallow in it. Those who have urged “running government like a business” are a main reason for encouraging said corruption.
NURTURE DEMOCRACY
That a particular gender and physiognomy presumes to display as the most capable in leadership to the extent of authoritarianism is belied by the state of our society in the USA including loss of democracy, equality, and justice, and held in place by the system of patriarchy that is compatible with capitalism.
DON’T LET BUREAUCRATS DO YOUR DEMOCRACY
Once again a caller to C-Span reminded us that “we are not a democracy, we are a Constitutional republic”. We might recall we also are not capitalistic, we are a Constitutional republic. But as to democracy, as heard on a Bill Moyers discussion, “governments don’t do democracy, people do democracy”. In the same character of indoctrination, socialism has been belied as contrary to democracy when it may in FACT be a definition of democracy. Americans have been self-deluded by the pandering by capitalistic-supporting politicians that we are “exceptional” when the USA may not even be noteworthy among functioning democracies around the world. We are, however, showing signs of fascism.
SAD SUCCESS
Success is the carrot in capitalism with competition suggested as a virtue. What has this ideal created in our modern world?
THE STRENGTH OF NATIVE
The incredible diversity of species found in the American woods is easy to overlook, but incalculably delightful and important.
