THE MORE YOU KNOW…
The topic C-Span discussion this morning was motivation for so-called Representatives of The People to act in ways suggestive of corruption. The Supreme Court seems acting in ways supremely sycophantic to capitalistic hierarchical Establishment, including legalizing money in the electoral process byway of Citizens United. This is getting far too meager attention, incomprehensibly, and is corruption. The US government is supposed to avoid appearance of corruption, but seems to have become so corrupt as to be unconcerned with appearance and seem to wallow in it. Those who have urged “running government like a business” are a main reason for encouraging said corruption.

A recent unusual challenge from some quarters to people who are “stating the obvious”, seems designed to quell expression of obvious FACTS. That the US government works toward ever more complication in participation by the public in our democracy, one will state an obvious FACT. A government of, by and for The People has been captured by political Parties Democratic and Republican working in concert to ensure control over our government. Political Parties in FACT do not own the standing under the US Constitution that do citizens. However the Democratic/Republican duopoly has insinuated pretense of supreme power, including a highly partisan Supreme Court.
This is an obvious FACT that must be stated. Anticipate hierarchical Establishment attempting censorship of this obvious FACT.
A caller to C-Span this morning at about 9:44AM (paraphrase) expressed a thought that people confuse protest with insurrection and worship a man who doesn’t understand separation of powers as stated in the US Constitution.
One again states the obvious that the separation of powers is diametrically opposed to the concept of “running government like a business” that has been superimposed over respect for principles of the US Constitution by those with greedy intent. This obvious FACT cannot be repeated too often until the reality sinks into the public awareness.
Heard on MSNBC media by Rachel Madow this week was her question of a guest as to whether Republicans are playing chess while Democrats are playing checkers. Refreshingly the guest had the independence to state the obvious that “we should all be playing checkers”. In other words, complication in policy and speech precisely can be used to defraud. Fraud is corruption and we have too much corruption in governance. Consider Zerlina Maxwell came to the defense of Obama with the excuse that “everybody does it” while James Carville said elections must be clean while “anything goes in campaigns”.

The law also mandates that anyone manumitting their slaves shall provide support for those over or under a certain age and that slaves pay the taxes and levies required by the state.”–end of moguldom info–https://encyclopediavirginia.org/entries/an-act-to-authorize-the-manumission-of-slaves-1782/
Without political intervention of the meritorious Jim Clyburn, we could have a President Bernie Sanders working toward a 1-payer comprehensive public health care policy—https://moguldom.com/298458/cornel-west-takes-off-on-jim-clyburn-for-being-owned-and-pimped-by-big-pharma-industry/
https://www.newscenter1.tv/medicare-urged-to-flex-its-power-and-slash-back-premium-hike/ –Nearly half of the Medicare Part “B” premium increase is due to Medicare’s need for a contingency fund to cover a new $56,000 Alzheimer’s drug whose benefits have been widely questioned.Finance Chairman Ron Wyden joins a growing number of Democratic lawmakers calling for action amid worries over rising inflation.–end of newscenter1 info–
This is a sharp increase for Seniors on Medicare who have been vilified in particular by one corporate-owned-state-influenced MSM talking head who was first at NYT, then MSNBC,then NPR, and now reportedly back to MSNBC, who erroneously over several months, reported on-air that Medicare was the same as Medicaid, which it surely is not. Sloppy reporting may be the reason; the other is outright propaganda to promote capitalistic interests. The same reporter “informed” that aging increases health care costs while not mentioning that so does obesity.
One is no less disappointed in a deluded Democratic Base than one is in a star-struck Republican Base.https://portside.org/2021-12-14/major-survey-finds-100-million-americans-see-us-healthcare-system-expensive-or-broken —The largest survey of its kind since the start of the Covid-19 crisis found that 38% of respondents—representing around 100 million Americans—characterized the for-profit U.S. healthcare system as either “expensive” or “broken,” an indication that the pandemic has markedly shifted public opinion.–end of portside info–
Manipulation of the public by hierarchy is dictatorship. We are currently at the point of submitting to ownership of our skies to those with cash. This is an obvious statement that if left unexpressed, will lead to the least among us controlling our common areas even to the extent of the sky — https://darksky.salsalabs.org/unveilthenight5?wvpId=5ef00d88-49f8-4d98-ae87-44ce51528bf0 –But all of this is about to change. According to recent studies, soon, 1 in 15 points of light in the sky will be a satellite. In 2019, there were 2,500 satellites in orbit. In comparison, by 2030, there may be as many as 100,000 orbiting the earth. These include the tens of thousands of communication satellites planned to connect most of our world with high-speed internet. Whose sky is it anyway? No treaty or law limits the brightness of satellites. To date, there has been no comprehensive review of the impacts of the proliferation of satellite swarms on space debris, radio-frequency interference, orbital collisions, or the environmental fallout in the upper atmosphere as satellites burn up. Some have called the satellite rush the new wild west or the next colonial frontier. –end of darksky info–

The United Nations logged the hottest temperature in history in the Arctic, finding that the Russian town of Verkhoyansk hit 38 degrees Celsius (100.4 Fahrenheit) in the summer of 2020.The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) announced the record heat in Verkhoyansk in a Tuesday press release, explaining that a meteorological station in the region completed the research.–end of countercurrents info–

Dominguez, explained it as, “If there was a piece of background music playing all the time, it would affect us on a number of levels. Over time, it changes the inner landscape and the energetic feel of the world.” He pointed out that the energy of the lunar nodes “is pushing on us all the time.”He feels that personal accountability that pushes through collective accountability is what can make the difference.–end of wildhunt info–
Hubris and privilege permit some people to label others as superstitious in order to hide the workings of their own actions. Capitalism has worn the mantle of respectability where none exists. — https://went2thebridge.wordpress.com/2021/12/14/late-stage-capitalism-is-a-death-cult-change-my-mind/ —
The economic system producing both galloping climate change and burgeoning military budgets that drive climate change is a death cult.

The question feels relevant in 2021 as to whether denial of Climate Change due to actions by humanity to be superstition or simply ignorance. In other words, is the wisdom of integrity hidden within the complexity of nature about which humanity has yet to fully understand?Received from Lakotalaw—-In case you missed our Wopila Gathering at the end of November — or if you want to revisit parts of the program — you can now watch the new playlist with highlights from our many incredible guests. —Watch the condensed Wopila Gathering here!: Pictured: Osage author Jimmy Lee Beason joines Chase Iron Eyes for our panel on Decolonizing History & Identity. It was a truly one-of-a-kind gathering with Indigenous experts from across Turtle Island to enjoy music, art, and conversation. https://socialistproject.ca/2021/12/radical-turning-point-democracy-in-honduras/#more –Twelve years after the coup against Manuel Zelaya, the Honduran people are regaining hope. Wading into the waters of hierarchical Establishment ire of stating the obvious in one’s uninformed view, ALEC seems to host the open collaboration between commercial interests and Representatives of the people in which the “sausage making” of corruption is performed—-https://popularresistance.org/alec-is-pushing-a-bill-that-punishes-banks-for-divesting-from-fossil-fuels/ –This month at the annual States and Nation Policy Summit of the right-wing American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a pay-to-play organization that brings together corporate lobbyists and mostly Republican state lawmakers to author model legislation, members of the group’s energy task force voted unanimously to approve a new model policy that would prevent financial companies that end investments in oil, gas, and coal companies from receiving state government contracts or managing state funds. The bill, the Energy Discrimination Elimination Act, directs state treasurers or comptrollers to maintain a list of firms that boycott fossil fuels. Each government contract with a business that has more than 10 employees must include a verification that the company does not boycott fossil fuel businesses.–end of popularresistance info–
Fun with words (the opposite of stating the obvious) uses the idea of discrimination in a wisecracking way. Those kids at ALEC must be a humorous crew.
We have a model for democratic action — https://mailchi.mp/nader/trumps-next-coup-has-already-begun-9fno8j0swx?e=cfd1bea9b5 –What’s left to trust and rely upon? Unorganized people organizing. What else! That’s what the farmers did peacefully in western Massachusetts in 1774 (See: The Revolution Came Early – 1774 – to the Berkshires) against the tyrant King George III and his Boston-based Redcoats? By foot or by horse, they showed up together in huge numbers at key places. These farmers collectively stopped the takeover of local governments and courts by King George’s wealthier Tories. Their actions can teach us the awesome lessons of moral, democratic, and tactical grit – all the while having to deal with nature and their endangered crops.–end of ralphnader info–
Another reason I love NYS—-https://www.ecowatch.com/solar-farms-bees-pollinators-2656020398.html –A new study finds that installing solar farms could become a two birds, one stone situation, as these areas can also double as thriving pollinator habitats if land owners allow meadows to grow around the solar panels. The study, from researchers at Lancaster University in the UK that will be presented today at an Ecology Across Borders conference, shows that installing solar farms could be greatly beneficial to nature.–end of ecowatch info–NYS was ground zero for a particularly relentless anti-fracking advocacy about a decade ago. This advocacy proceeded with an accompanying news blackout that failed to report nationally that which happened locally. In FACT, local news offered meager reporting about this. The result was the NYS fracking ban. Due to this citizen advocacy (perhaps prompting local corporate-owned bureaucrats to demand a “crack-down” on protesters) in 2021 we see phenomenal growth of small solar farms, often surrounded by pine trees. These solar farms appear to be safe for local environment and wildlife. If an added benefit could be beekeeping within the area, all the better. Massive fracking pads would have been, in contrast, detrimental to people and wildlife. One is happy local landowners can also financially gain from these solar farms.
We have much work to do.
