DEFINE NATIONAL SECURITY
Mitch McConnell graced us with his view about expanded funding for The Military-Industrial Complex to enhance national security. The view from Mitch McConnell is predictable when one considers reports of his familial connections to commercial interests in China. National security for American oligarchs is often imagined in terms of “protecting American interests overseas” which is commercial interest in foreign nations.
Several reasons exist for “American interests overseas”—*Even with the poverty-level-US wages, workers are cheaper to buy in some foreign nations*Oligarchs typically gather their wealth byway of commercial pursuits, and to run said pursuits unencumbered by US scrutiny is profitable*Politicians enjoying foreign commercial pursuits won’t be pestered with uncomfortable questions from constituents or law enforcement in the USA*This system permits a quasi-private but publicly-funded police squad called The Military-Industrial Complex to protect their “American interests overseas”*Politicians can call the entirety of this farce “national security” in order to frighten the public into compliance*Critical national security issues such as cyber security are largely left in the hands of private commercial interests that have proven to be unreliable considering the example of globalism that enhances corporate profit and impoverishes the US public
At the same time McConnell is raising a scare about national security, the US public is experiencing reduced access to products, many of which are crucial, such as computer chips, electronic components, fuel, and food. Familial connections may suggest some politicians have access to these essential that are denied to the majority of Americans.

Mitch McConnell is high-lighted this morning because he was on national news media expressing his views of national security. In FACT the majority of our politicians have promoted globalism that in large part have created the national security risk for the US pubic of supply shortages and poverty. In FACT, the Obama Administration that includes but is not limited to Joe Biden seemed obsessive with TPP. TPP is a trade agreement that is globalism on steroids, including language that mitigates US human and US environmental rights in favor of multi-national corporations. Citizens United seems to be a reason that “everybody does it”, as Obama apologist Zerlina Maxwell says. The explanation isn’t original but it is recognizable to most people.
We are so out of balance that national security seems to imply imperialism. We need to calibrate our understanding of civilization to embrace progress in terms of peace, equality and good health rather than a progress defined in terms of exploitation, greed, and hierarchy. Feminism can be one vehicle toward that end—https://socialistproject.ca/2022/03/feminist-resistance-against-war/#more –We profoundly condemn the military invasion led by the Putin regime in Ukraine, which has already left thousands of people dead and hundreds of thousands displaced, and which provokes a sharpening of the confrontation between imperialist blocs at the global level. We reject the positions issued in recent days that deepen the warmongering spiral. We reject the decisions that involve adding more weapons to the conflict and increasing war budgets. We reject security narratives that reinforce authoritarian logic and militarization. Not in our name.We must remember that NATO is co-responsible for the situation created by its global expansionism and militaristic security narrative. Weapons perpetuate war, perpetuate barbarism and perpetuate suffering. There is no greater security than peace.–end of socialisproject info–
Patriarchy has reigned supreme for quite a long time; and the results are frightening. Latent over-emotionally-charged thought patterns have given us far too much aggression and violence.
The following link details feminism outside of US chauvinism on the topic—–https://popularresistance.org/how-afro-colombians-are-fighting-white-feminism/ –The connection between war and racism within the armed conflict, and the reality of being a Black woman is all inseparable, and Afro Colombians like Francia Marquez are creating a Feminism in Latin America that includes this understanding.–end of popularresistance info–Of interest is the racial-justice movement in the USA that doesn’t expand past our borders. Feminism is also a hallmark of pro-capitalism enablers who may harm the ideology more than support justice and liberty. Patriarchy enablers are a poor excuse for feminism.

We need to hear more reasonable voices from politicians who question the massive spending on the Pentagon that works to protect a national security of foreign actions more than a national security that address requirements of We The People. Bernie Sanders is one such voice—-https://www.commondreams.org/news/2022/03/28/we-do-not-need-massive-increase-sanders-criticizes-bidens-813-billion-military —

A large portion….possibly a majority……of voters supported Bernie Sanders during the last Presidential-election campaign. The currently silent Jim Clyburn used his power of which he has hoarded plenty, to produce a pro-capitalist President. Usually voluble, why the silence now?
We need a national security that pertains within our own borders. This doesn’t imply isolation but it does attempt to adherence to a democratic (small d) Constitutional republicanism (small r).

Moore said that Smithfield promised 20 years ago to install cleaner technology to deal with hog waste. (The company researched other “environmentally superior” technologies but never implemented them.) “The corporation has refused to implement any technology to clean up the water, citing the cost of doing so was too expensive,” Moore said. “Yet the cost of this biogas project rivals the costs that would have been to implement cleaner and safer technology to ensure the safety of those living near these operations.”
