C-Span isn’t coming in this weekend, as it often reacts when there is a heavy cloud cover.  The less technologically-touchy NPR, however, is coming in just fine.  All the technology required is to plug the radio into the wall, if our local grid is still functioning.  Advertising has ignored the FACT that the more complicated the technology, the less dependable it is.  And so do our industry-purchased politicians so ignore.  But the money is nice.

Heard on the NPR in Upstate NY–9:30AM–discussion about space junk—-(paraphrase)—Space junk is interfering with the USA more than other nations due to reliance on this technology beyond which other nations depend.  This is a problem for both the military and the public.
FACTually the electrical grid in Upstate NY, along with many other regions of the nation, according to reports, is flimsy to the extent of need for back-up systems if a family doesn’t want to instantly be thrown back into camping conditions.  
The NPR discussion highlighted the system imposed upon We The People by politicians bought into public office and leadership by big-money interests byway of Citizens United which seems to be legalized corruption in our electoral process.  Predictably this questionable system seems to have undermined national security in a way that seems so obvious as to be laughable if it wasn’t so noticeable as a raw wound on national security.
Commercial hubris that technology is the answer to everything seems to be slick advertising that lightens the pockets of American consumers without providing integrity and reliability.
An example in this tall and flimsy system is Senator Schumer who insists NY’ers must have a 5G network, when our electrical grid is so porous.  And by the way, left unaddressed and unproven is the safety of a 5G network, and the veracity pertaining to privacy, cost, and infrastructure woes inflicted on the environment and wildlife.  Insistence on a framework that gathers everyone into one system and provider, is highly desirable to the one fortunate provider that can fully fund a politician’s campaign, but is questionable as pertains to national security and benefit to the public.
