Laughable is the error that stated unalienable rights for men but not for women.  If principles of both Preambles were precisely honored by men, possibly nobody would even notice.  But the flaming disregard for rights in general has exposed women to extreme misogyny.
Women protest a lot because women have much to protest about.  The new normal of “cracking down on protesters” by patriarchy is familiar.  In the Southern Tier of NYS a group of county Sheriffs have demanded said “crack down” laws be passed.  At the same time some of these bureaucrats have expressed they will not enforce more restrictive gun laws.  These 2 stances require explanation. Another curiously unfolding FACT is a large number of law enforcement in the Southern Tier who are shooting gun owners; typically after responding to a domestic dispute call.  Another such shooting happened yesterday, according to news reports.  (News update……perpetrator didn’t have a gun, but did have a knife…..but was still shot by a law enforcement officer…this for clarification with no opinion about veracity or lack thereof for the shooting….who knows?)  …eerily similar to the following)—-
NYS has made strides since 1970 when one’s personal “domestic dispute” call about a husband who after being absent for a month, was angry that the door was locked at midnight, broke it down, and then destroyed everything in the interior while attacking his wife physically.  Demands to law enforcement to arrest the perpetrator were answered by….and I quote…..”It’s his house and he can do whatever he wants.”
But I digress.  In 2021 law enforcement shoots the perpetrator.  But why do they support unrestricted gun toting when the general public is forced to live with the intimidation that law enforcement finds so threatening as to shoot?  By the way, a perpetrator with a knife is better than one with a gun, if the target can run fast.  Can we imagine a society without intimidation and violence, and work toward that end; or is that too Utopian for our fragile abilities?  And why are protesters acting peacefully in Free Speech, even if “annoying” to Establishment, so carelessly arrested?
