In the ’80’s, as we as a nation rolled into a new way of being in which capitalism replaced democracy on many levels, activists warned about a new style of media advertising in which the general public would be influenced subliminally.  In 2023 we have a media presence that ostensibly raises children, and surely places on a lifestyle treadmill, beleaguered Americans too overworked and harried to inspire their own personal paths in life.

In the ’80’s we seemed to take the subliminal media suggestions to mean we would all buy the same product.  In 2023 one suggests the subliminal messaging is more to indoctrinate into compliance to capitalistic hierarchical Establishment wishes that can be shortened as a concept to patriarchy.

Enters Dr. Phil in a discussion about fentynal on 7/27/2023, in which he hissed out his contempt for Mexican drug cartel members as “sons of bitches”.  

Use of this phrase “sons of bitches” brings to mind a Trumpian assertion relating to Colin Kaepernick.  As one who supported Kaepernick’s campaign for dignity for months and perhaps a year before anyone else noticed, Trump’s use of this phrase riled the troops because, as MSM told us, Trump was referring to somebody’s mother.  And so Democrat-Base people took up the refrain against the phrase and supporting Kaepernick when they hadn’t previously.  Never mind that this phrase flowed off the lips of many people before this dust up.

As to Dr. Phil, if use of this language is his personal choice to brand himself, that’s fine.  But use of the phrase on MSM again supports a connection between violent, aggressive, or hateful male behavior with women.  Admittedly women can be enablers, but the physical actions are quite often male.  Use of this phrase may originate, again subliminally, from childhood when women are often those who represent life or death to the baby or child.  Because little girls identify with mothers, their ability to grow away from mother may be easier than for little boys, who often do not identify with mother.

But I’m not educated in psychiatry or psychology, as seems to be Dr. Phil.  Perhaps he can run a show about the prolonged attempt of little boys to let go of misogyny.  Dr. Phil is said to be an expert in and educated well about such matters.  Perhaps he can better ‘splain a misogyny-promoting phrase than can I.

One’s motivation in speaking of this is to draw attention to the ongoing subliminal MSM habit of diminishing actual physical actions with an interesting type of “the woman made me do it” story.  The phrase directly excuses actions of a male by reference to his mother.  WTF?

NORWICH – A major new solar farm project got underway last week with the appointment of a Norwich construction firm to help build one of the largest community solar projects in New York State. The project will install 52,569 panels next six to nine months in the Town of Norwich. They will produce about 20 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year.

Solar Farms New York, will be making a presentation to the Norwich Town Council on July 8.

The project has been approved by the town and is already under construction. The motion to approve the project was unopposed, with Town Supervisor David Evans recusing himself from the approval because he and his brother will be leasing some land for the project.

“The Town of Norwich has shown amazing leadership in New York State’s effort to replace all fossil fuel electricity generation by 2040,” said Jeffrey Mayer, CEO of Solar Farms. “Thanks to the Evans family, enough solar panels will be planted to provide the community and its households decades of clean, renewable energy to one of the country’s most beautiful regions,” he added.

Mayer said that the solar farm would be built on about 79 acres located on 5050 State Highway 23.

 This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?

Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.
