NO KINGS

NO KINGS
Is anyone so GOP infatuated to think that the democracy-saving No Kings Act as proposed by NYS Senator Schumer, would get a “yes” vote from NYS Rep Molinaro?  And so some people will vote for Josh Riley for NYS rep.—

Schumer, of New York, said that Congress has an obligation and the constitutional authority to check the Supreme Court on its decision.

”Given the dangerous and consequential implications of the court’s ruling, legislation would be the fastest and most efficient method to correcting the grave precedent the Trump ruling presented,” he said.

The Senate bill, which has more than two dozen Democratic cosponsors, comes after Democratic President Joe Biden called on lawmakers earlier this week to ratify a constitutional amendment limiting presidential immunity, along with establishing term limits and an enforceable ethics code for the court’s nine justices. Rep. Joseph Morelle, D-N.Y., recently proposed a constitutional amendment in the House.

The simple proposal of a No-Kings ACT in NYS by Senator Shumer would counter the obnoxious and undemocratic ol”-boy network that has grown in The Southern Tier of NYS.  One refers to the ongoing uncovering of troubling hierarchical actions between, for example, the Broome County Sheriff, the Broome County DA, NYS Rep Molinaro, and incomprehensibly Mike Johnson, a Rep from somewhere down south.–

House Speaker Mike Johnson to travel to Binghamton for event with Rep. Molinaro

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., will travel to Binghamton Thursday for an event with Republican U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro focused on law enforcement funding and public safety.

The Thursday meeting will be at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and is said to feature sheriff’s deputies, neighboring law enforcement, other first responders and families.

Johnson’s trip comes as Molinaro seeks reelection in the 19th Congressional District. Broome County is the most-populous county there and could play a large role in in the upcoming election. Molinaro is being challenged by Democrat Josh Riley, who is from Endicott, a village just outside Binghamton. Molinaro flipped the seat in 2022, defeating Riley by about 4,500 votes.

–end of spectrum news–

This crude display of patriarchal Supremacy…..AKA White Supremacy….that is harmful to most of the population in America; and especially targeting NYS.

We need bureaucrats and Representatives less entangled in their egos.

In contrast, NYS Rep Molinaro wishes to introduce a back-room style of legislation that protests his personal proclivity to protect apparently pro-Israel government that seems genocidal toward Palestinians.

The law would label as anti-semitic, (which is legitimately a hate-crime when applied logically) those Jewish and Palestinians who work against a genocidal regime.  This law greases the skids to prosecute/persecute those who think differently than some pro-Israeli government, or indeed can be applied to the Free Speech of anyone speaking out about or criticizing a government, including the US government.

So indeed Senator Schumer’s thoughtful No KIings ACT is relevant.
