For those who argue that we are a Constitutional Republic and not a democracy, one wishes an explanation that the People’s Republic of China is labeled communistic.  Both democracy and communism are process, and to mix the two with the notion of a Republic is word play.

Word play is the process of fooling a somnolent citizenry.  Too many of our fellow Americans have been cozily asleep and loosing our liberty.

Of course Trump has no immunity from his criminal actions, but wouldn’t he love to have it?

One watches as Sheriff Akshar answers Binghamton City Board member Solak, who wishes to discuss dissolving the BPD, with actually advocating for such.  Board member Solak apparently is broaching a topic brought up by a member of the Binghamton, NY citizenry, for discussion.  Inability to discuss a topic is surely censorship.

This is the process for too long, of an ‘ole-boy network.  One has watched such bait-and-switch from ostensible thugs in high positions of authority.  The first step in refining a system is to talk about alternative.  This alternative may be terrible; still it is censorship if people aren’t allowed to mention it.  And to discuss this can shine sunlight in dark corners.  

Sheriff Akshar could stand a discussion on the topic of separation of powers among politicians and bureaucrats.  Otherwise our Constitutional Republic that can be chosen to function democratically (small d), will transform into something similar to The People’s Republic of China, that we call communistic.  But then Sheriff Akshar is a youngster and has time to learn, if he will.

Binghamton resident proposes legislation that would ‘dissolve’ Binghamton Police Department

During a call with 12 News, Sheriff Fred Akshar said they are “entertaining something that lacks common sense.” Prior to the call, the sheriff already had denounced the idea.

“The Binghamton Police are an essential partner in keeping our community safe, and the proposal flatly eliminates nearly 150 law enforcement positions,” he said.

During Monday’s meeting, Solak was brought to the floor and not many specifics were discussed during his allotted time. However, at the beginning, Solak compared his proposal to a proposal that he said cut crime in Camden, NJ.
