STRONG MAN PROCESS

Anyone having watched bureaucratic gyrations toward placing on the books, restrictive laws against We The People, in the Southern Tier, along with attempts by, for example the Texas-based fracking industry to buy up local land for exploitation and foreseeable pollution for profit, are surely not surprised but that which we see.  —

BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — Some residents have raised concerns about newly sworn-in Broome County District Attorney Paul Battisti. Specifically, they are concerned about his Facebook page and claim their comments are being monitored or deleted.

12 News learned of the possible censorship on the page, which is named, “Broome County District Attorney’s Office” through messages from viewers.

For constituents like Binghamton resident Kenny Brown, it’s supposed to be a platform where they can have their voices heard.

“Silencing anyone isn’t beneficial to progress or conversation,” said Brown. “I understand that he has the right to if he wants to, but at the same time, there are many public officials from both parties that have kept their comments open when facing dissent.”

Sheriff Akshar who heavily has campaigned for DA Bastista, also was the NYS Senator who advocated support for a now-Mirabito-baseball stadium rather than universal health care, affordable housing, and local-community business Mom’s and Pop’s.  Mom’s and Pop’s were a phrase to highlight local sole proprietorships rather than big-money industries that have been instrumental in replacing free markets and democracy with “government run like a business”.  The phrase bears definition because one no longer hears this phrase as wa the case in the past, due to censorship by, one supposes, bribed bureaucrats and big-money interests.

None of this is illegal, which is the point.  The electorate would be better informed devoid of strong man censorship; and is a topic rife for reporting; and in need of sunshine in dark corners.

And not to put to fine a point on these notions, but former=NYSEG stadium baseball is now Mirabito Stadium, heavily promoted by then-NYS Senator Akshar, and connotes the same industrial strong-man cadre that sued NYS for rights to frack locally

An East Rochester landowner sought compensation for NY’s fracking ban; it didn’t work

  –

ALBANY – An East Rochester lawyer’s four-year battle over New York’s ban on large-scale hydraulic fracturing hit another roadblock this week.

U.S. District Judge Michael Telesca ruled Monday against David Morabito’s bid to receive compensation for the oil-and-gas rights on his land, which Morabito had claimed were unconstitutionally taken from him when New York banned fracking in 2014.

Industrial compensation for airy-fantasy anticipated profits disallowed by local laws was a part of Democratic-President Obama’s wild-eyed promotion of the fast-tracking of TPP that seemed to be a priority when he was in office.  This is a Democratic/Republican duopoly problem about which the electorate must consider

Obama was the spouter of the phrase “we are a nation of laws” at the same time he promoted such laws.  Be careful for what you wish for….
