LESSON OF HAWAII

Hawaii is an example of colonization in miniature, starting from more than 2 centuries ago and ending in an ostensible economic paradise. Lost in this imperial success story is nature and humanity. Everyone understands and is tempted by convenience and financial gain that clouds reality about the end story of exploitation.

Hawaii emergency management records do not indicate the warning sirens sounded before fire hit the town. Officials sent alerts to mobile phones, televisions and radio stations, but widespread power and cellular outages may have limited their reach.–end of aol info–
Everywhere is a quasi paradise. The corporate trick of creating paradise destination spots is about predatory capitalism. Paradise is about a different dimension.
In the Southern Tier of NYS, one has heard politicians passing as global-warming action, a policy of making the public more resilient against the inevitable impact of Climate Change. While the capitalistic hierarchical Establishment commitment to a progress based on infinite growth using finite resources, any discussion about an adjustment of lifestyle toward reality is avoided like Covid.
Until humanity has reached an ability of reality that recognizes living within one’s means, any fantasy about securing safety by means of protecting against the ravages of global warming is only that….a fantasy.
Use of the same technology that created the global warming may be ill advised. Digital energy and communication delivery that is pridefully sold to the public as progress, also seems ineffective in an actual catastrophe.
To recognize our technological toys as just that is a first step, perhaps, toward facing reality. Hawaii is a dismal reminder that paradise may exist in a different dimension.
To challenge global warming may mean a change in lifestyle. This is frightening momentarily unless one acknowledges life in America isn’t that fabulous for large swaths of the public. What if we came more in tune to the needs of local-community members and nature rather than to, for example, stock market topics? Life could actually become more livable.
How happy was the Northeast during the momentous smoke event when the air quality clocked in at over 450?
The Green Party permits and encourages Free Speech, from what I’ve seen. On the topic of Ukraine, the assumption that Ukrainians are any more informed about the massive bait-and-switch of capitalism as practiced by many NATO nations, including and in particular the USA, where a fraud seems to have been perpetrated against local-community members under the guise of globalism, in which Americans have lost our Middle Class, gained poverty, and seem to lose democracy, isn’t justification for the US Proxy War with Russia. But still different views are important.

Between 2014—the real start of the war when the Ukrainian government began attacking its own people in the Donbas—and the beginning of Russia’s intervention in February 2022, around one million Ukrainians had already immigrated to Russia. The fact that Ukrainians were going to live in Russia was reported in the mainstream press back then, with the BBC writing in September 2014 about some of the refugees while noting that “[s]eparatists in the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk declared independence after Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine.
Around 1.3 million additional Ukrainians have immigrated to Russia since February 2022, making Russia the largest recipient of Ukrainian refugees in the world since the beginning of the SMO.–end of mronline info–
Ethnic-ly many Russians are Ukrainians and many Ukrainians are Russians. Similarly, many Russian/Ukrainians in the USA are American and many Americans in the USA are Ukrainian/Russians. The use of NATO in that region is about economic opportunity. This probably won’t be settled by war, any more than the American Civil War settled anything.
The Obama Administration/Clinton State Department took out Qadhafi in Libya during their era of involvement toward a push for NATO into regions of US interest. — https://mronline.org/2023/08/12/niger-aftermath-of-the-fall-of-qadhafi-in-the-african-sahel/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=niger-aftermath-of-the-fall-of-qadhafi-in-the-african-sahel – Following the intervention of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Libya, there has been a situation of fragmented governance, in a context of erosion of state authority, a country turned into a slave market and smuggling of arms, drugs and strategic resources in the open,in which Niger has become one of the main points of passage for trafficking networks, located at one of the vertices of the Mediterranean Sea, with routes to Italy and Lampedusa Island offshore, and inland to all regions of the African continent.

Cavalier actions by nations on an international level should be challenged. They may be based in imperialism.

The Biden administration is asking Congress for an additional $24 billion for the Ukraine proxy war, more than half of it in military aid. The request comes one week after a CNN poll showed, for the first time, that a majority of Americans oppose additional funding to Kiev.–end of popularresistance info–
Obama Administration individuals may have been involved in Ukraine for their personal benefit. Investigations are ongoing.
Staggering is the global-warming transfer of cost and liability from corporations to local-community members in the USA. Ukraine may be a handy deflection. Either way we don’t see NATO nations jumping in to assist the USA.****
As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate——–
