INTRINSIC NATURAL RIGHTS
King Charles may be sufficiently aware to “feel the weight of history”. This is good news.
From lakotalaw and in Solidarity for anyone who recognizes the intrinsic natural rights of women, and in this instance, especially Native women.
One in three Indigenous women in the United States is sexually assaulted during her life, and 67% of these assaults are perpetrated by non-Indigenous actors. Meanwhile, the Urban Indian Health Institute reports that 95% of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) cases are never covered in national or international media. We must put a stop to this epidemic, and fast. That’s why I appeared on the Carter Center’s Forum on Human Rights yesterday to bring awareness to this critical issue. Please watch our conversation. You’ll also see a clip of Abigail Echo-Hawk, the Urban Indian Health Institute’s director, speaking on PBS about MMIW within Turtle Island.
In April of this year, Lakota Law backed two pieces of legislation that can make a difference: the Family Violence Prevention and Services Improvement Act (FVPSIA), and Savanna’s Act. In case you missed that, I invite you to take action now to contact elected officials.
FVPSIA has already passed through the House of Representatives but now needs Senate approval. The act would modify, expand, and reauthorize the Family Violence and Prevention Services program, which funds emergency shelters and assists victims of domestic violence. The bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services to award grants and cooperate with state and tribal domestic violence coalitions and community-based organizations to support prevention services.
Savanna’s Act is named for Savanna Lafontaine-Greywind. You may remember her tragic story — a rare case of a female Indigenous victim making headlines. A citizen of Spirit Lake Nation, Savanna was murdered while eight months pregnant in 2017 at just 22 years old. The act named for her directs the Department of Justice (DOJ) to review, revise, and develop comprehensive law enforcement and justice protocols to address missing or murdered Native People.
Those of us who live on tribal nations in the Dakotas know firsthand how strong Native women are. Our women and girls survive and thrive in tough conditions, they lead movements, and they raise the next generations. But too many of them also end up murdered or simply disappear without a trace. I’m grateful we now have a Native U.S. Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland, who knows these things, and has taken steps toward solving this epidemic. But we must do more together. Please lend your hand.
Wopila tanka — thank you for fighting for Native women!

Some people have noticed a serious man in King Charles, residing in a trivializing world, contained within tradition that grew deliberately to the end we have today.https://www.aol.com/news/public-gets-chance-view-queens-081346863-113405036.html —
“As I stand before you today, I cannot help but feel the weight of history which surrounds us and which reminds us of the vital parliamentary traditions to which members of both Houses dedicate yourselves, with such personal commitment for the betterment of us all,” Charles said.–end of aol info—
Media has raised the question of the relevancy of the monarchy in today’s world. They have mentioned the colonization by UK of many regions around the Globe. Interestingly one heard nothing about the colonization of North America and the harm caused to Native Americans, while bemoaning the harm to people of other UK colonies.
One can’t imagine a serious man who understands history and is aware of injustice, isn’t aware of the paths taken that end in power and privilege of those often labeled as oligarchs around the globe. Having secured a system of Supremacy, including within an institutionalized religion, this system works well for those so profiting.
Whether institutionalized religion uses a monarchy or Christian Nationalists to control the public doesn’t seem to matter. Understanding that questioning organized religion is nearly sacrosanct, delving back into the fascination of history, outside of prescribed hierarchical information, (or by paying attention to prescribed hierarchical information, for that matter, as one explains below) fodder is provided for recognition of intrinsic natural rights, about which The Founders appeared interested.
So what is the history of the top-colonizer around the globe, now losing ground to the USA, an apparent success story of hierarchical Establishment? Several thoughts–
*Rome colonized the British Isles –https://www.historic-uk.com/HistoryUK/HistoryofEngland/The-Romans-in-England/#:~:text=In%2043%20AD%20the%20Emperor,of%20present%20day%20southeastern%20England. –In 43 AD the Emperor Claudius resumed the work of Caesar by ordering the invasion of Britain under the command of Aulus Plautius.
The Romans quickly established control over the tribes of present day southeastern England.
*Rome was doing the samein other portions of the globe
*Anyone seriously interested in the world system of 2022 may wish to read https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/601146.Bloodline_of_the_Holy_Grail
One also suggests reading The Gospel of John, edited by William Barclay as included below in more explanation, but one also wishes to share the following taken directly from the book—-“So, then, even if Jesus Christ had never come into this world in a bodily form, it would still have been possible for men to see God’s Word, God’s Logos, God’s Reason in action in this world. But, although the action of the Word was there for all to see, men never recognized him.”
To some people who follow the natural way, this sounds similar to beliefs of worldwide Indigenous people. That those who have trivialized life on Earth for profit, have institutionalized a hierarchical belief system, feels suspicious. The writings of a number of The Founders seemed to touch on these natural rights that are to be protected.
Reprint of the following—-
Intrinsic natural rights are in contrast to the plan of hierarchy. The following book is a view of religion from Establishment that one believes has been used to the end of control–
The following is a fascinating read that has been suggested to learn of an alternative view of the workings of institutionalized religion. However hierarchical Establishment has been known to warn against this so-called fiction while never explaining the historical documentation that can encourage curiosity on this topic. As one willing to listen to the information from hierarchical Establishment, one also is sufficiently curious to look around for confirmation.
In Christian terms, most of the world’s population is heretical, because the Christian Church (which defines its own heresies) represents little more than a quarter of that population. As for the remaining three-quarters – the Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus and others – they are all, by definition, heretics and infidel.
Only 365 years ago, the Italian scientist Galileo announced that the Earth was in motion around the sun (a discovery by the Polish astronomer, Copernicus) and for this the Church proclaimed him a heretic. As a result, Galileo was hauled before the Catholic Inquisition and kept under house arrest for ten years until he died.

Said curiosity has encouraged research on the topic, and specifically currently the book The Gospel of John, Volume 1, by William Barclay. One also intends to read Volume 2, and the Library of Congress Catalog No. 58-5035 seems to be where this can be found. Imagine the surprise when this explanation by institutionalized religion seemed to confirm the Bloodlines information. One is not a Biblical scholar, just a retiree with time on hands, to one’s delight, that is filling in blanks that over a lifetime career floated in the back of one’s mind as one remained compliant to hierarchical Establishment. Is time on the hands of a human being the bogey man that frightens some of hierarchical Establishment to suggest eradicating Social Security to ensure troublesome elderly citizens spend their time struggling to survive rather than reading.
Anyway, a few thoughts inspired by The Gospel of John, Volume 1, edited by William Barclay—
*Predominately scholars used Hebrew as a language pre and during the time of Christ, as scholars translated into Aramaic that most Jews used as a language
*The concept of a Messiah was predominantly of Jews, as compared to the world of gentiles
*Jesus was of the Jewish world
*Anthropomorphism toward the idea of The Creator was avoided by Jews
*Gentiles were not familiar with either of the notion of a Messiah or of avoidance of anthropomorphism of the idea of The Creator
*A movement begun in the Jewish world expanded among gentiles to an extent that a majority of followers were gentile, of Christianity
*Christianity expanded among people of Greece, along with writings of Gospels in language understandable by gentiles
*Gnostics seemed to maintain association, pre-Hellenistic translation, with original teachings and mores
*Translators attempting to write in language attractive to gentiles embraced anthropomorphism
*Non-anthropomorphic Gnostic translators declared such views as heresy
The following is one of many indications of use by institutionalized religion to colonize people who may not have been so trivial as to be unable to see The Creator in The World–
http://ili.nativeweb.org/sdrm_art.html –When Christopher Columbus first set foot on the white sands of Guanahani island, he performed a ceremony to “take possession” of the land for the king and queen of Spain, acting under the international laws of Western Christendom. Although the story of Columbus’ “discovery” has taken on mythological proportions in most of the Western world, few people are aware that his act of “possession” was based on a religious doctrine now known in history as the Doctrine of Discovery. Even fewer people realize that today – five centuries later – the United States government still uses this archaic Judeo-Christian doctrine to deny the rights of Native American Indians.
Under various theological and legal doctrines formulated during and after the Crusades, non-Christians were considered enemies of the Catholic faith and, as such, less than human. Accordingly, in the bull of 1452, Pope Nicholas directed King Alfonso to “capture, vanquish, and subdue the saracens, pagans, and other enemies of Christ,” to “put them into perpetual slavery,” and “to take all their possessions and property.” [Davenport: 20-26] Acting on this papal privilege, Portugal continued to traffic in African slaves, and expanded its royal dominions by making “discoveries” along the western coast of Africa, claiming those lands as Portuguese territory.
Thus, when Columbus sailed west across the Sea of Darkness in 1492 – with the express understanding that he was authorized to “take possession” of any lands he “discovered” that were “not under the dominion of any Christian rulers” – he and the Spanish sovereigns of Aragon and Castile were following an already well-established tradition of “discovery” and conquest. [Thacher:96] Indeed, after Columbus returned to Europe, Pope Alexander VI issued a papal document, the bull Inter Cetera
of May 3, 1493, “granting” to Spain – at the request of Ferdinand and Isabella – the right to conquer the lands which Columbus had already found, as well as any lands which Spain might “discover” in the future.—-end of nativeweb info–
So in the USA in 2022, we are ignoring the FACTS about colonization.
Another indication of control is by media who, during the recent reports about the UK monarchy, touched upon the colonization by that nation around the globe without mentioning the USA and the American Indigenous people.
——-–end of reprint—–
From logical historic perspective, power is still in Rome and a few colonized success stories are about the business of their colonizers.
One could say that those who can see The Creator in the world are exploited by some unable to do so, in their pursuit of trivialization.
King Charles has his work cut out for him.
If one wants to institute and follow an institutionalized religion, they can do so without exploiting and infringing on the natural rights of others.
Institutionalization is useful when it serves humanity. When institutionalization serves itself it is tyranny.

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-
This is a reminder of how much we don’t know. This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought. We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate. Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United. But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy. Who knew?
The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNbdkuU1edw —#GreenSocialist Notes #76
Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate. Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary. This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People. Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ7kn2-GEmM —

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM. In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican. The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.
Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic. Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped. The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show. Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored. (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control). The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression. Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly. Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism. Some people vote accordingly.
