DELUDED INTO INANITY

As one who is deeply unconcerned with another person amassing financial wealth, one does however object to the violence, aggression and tyranny said person presumes due to that accumulation of finances over human sentiment.  Those purchased by that wealth is a personal choice.  The harm to unconnected people and nature is another thing.  Presumption by hierarchy to influence emotionally the public, and includes efforts of the well-paid entertainment industry, will continue to highlight Russian oligarchs as though there are no American oligarchs, as they protect their own territory of wealth and privilege.

The following refers to a Swarzenegger opinion about the Russian/Ukrainian war.  The politifact view seem to be commentary about how best to influence people through emotion, as though there isn’t an underlying problem in doing this.  Swarzenegger is an actor.  Zelensky is an actor.  Reagan was an actor.  “Western ideas” are personified by actors.  We may not be the better for raw emotional response to the intricacies of life.  FACTS may be more useful, along with remembering that in a disagreement, there are often 2 perspectives.  –https://mailchi.mp/politifact/what-arnold-schwarzeneggers-russia-video-teaches-about-talking-to-the-misinformed?e=e8de71cdb1           –Still, we stay hopeful that misinformation can be corrected and people can move off of previously held positions when they get new information. Over the years, we’ve talked to psychologists, researchers and other experts many times about how to reach people held in misinformation’s grip. –end of politifact info–Several thoughts–*Fascism is expanding in Europe as much as it has been recently reported of in the USA*An argument can be made that use of the entertainment industry may soften the reality of the violence and aggression of hierarchical systems*To say that “Western values” is similar to “supporting democracy” implies that the US-supported removal of a democraticly-elected Ukrainian leader is an example of integrity as hierarchy broadcasts, when the opposite seems more likely
Reading the link from politifact, one was interested in the warning about views of people who seemed confident in their position.  This can be interpreted as the often-broadcast urging to “listen to the experts”.  In other words, this seems to support hierarchy which seems contradictory to ideas of democracy.  After so many decades of hierarchical expansion, this notion has been tried and found to be lacking, according to the state of affairs in which we find ourselves in 2022.  The Trickle-Down Theory seems to have been smoke-and-mirrors not only pertaining to finances, but also to leadership.
Collaboration between commercial interests and politicians seem quite similar to “Western values”  —  https://popularresistance.org/judge-gives-lawyers-24-hours-to-identify-firstenergy-execs-who-ordered-political-bribes/       —
From popularresistance –Further scuttling a proposed settlement for FirstEnergy’s shareholders, a federal judge demanded their lawyers, within 24 hours, answer his question about which company officials ordered what has been described as the largest political bribery scheme in Ohio history.U.S. District Judge John R. Adams, however, has refused to approve anything until plaintiffs’ counsel answer one critical question: Who at FirstEnergy ordered the $64 million in political bribes?“It is not only the trust of FirstEnergy that must be rebuilt,” Adams wrote. “This bribery scheme has undoubtedly shaken whatever trust that Ohioans may have had in the political process used by their elected officials. The public has a right to know how it is that the political process was so easily corrupted.”—end of popularresistance info————-“So easily corrupted”…..really?…..This is America…..this is the home of “Western values”……

So while the elite of Europe and the USA ‘splain the reasons for hierarchical control, FACTS inform differently

Reluctant to sell the stock, valued at the time at more than $2.5 million (or about $24 million in 2018), Wilson agreed to do so under committee pressure. During the hearings, when asked if he could make a decision as Secretary of Defense that would be adverse to the interests of General Motors, Wilson answered affirmatively. But he added that he could not conceive of such a situation “because for years I thought what was good for our country was good for General Motors, and vice versa.” That statement has frequently been misquoted as “What’s good for General Motors is good for the country.” Although Wilson tried for years to correct the misquote, he was reported, at the time of his retirement in 1957, to have accepted the popular impression.[5]Wilson was finally confirmed as Secretary of Defense by a Senate vote of 77 to 6 and began his duties in the Pentagon.–end of explanation—

So the best defense is a good offense—-           https://portside.org/2022-03-23/war-crimes-and-lie-american-innocence    —he branding of Vladimir Putin as a war criminal by Joe Biden, who lobbied for the Iraq war and staunchly supported the 20 years of carnage in the Middle East, is one more example of the hypocritical moral posturing sweeping across the United States. It is unclear how anyone would try Putin for war crimes since Russia, like the United States, does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. But justice is not the point. Politicians like Biden, who do not accept responsibility for our well-documented war crimes, bolster their moral credentials by demonizing their adversaries. They know the chance of Putin facing justice is zero. And they know their chance of facing justice is the same.We know who our most recent war criminals are, among others: George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, General Ricardo Sanchez, former CIA Director George Tenet, former Asst. Atty. Gen. Jay Bybee, former Dep. Asst. Atty. Gen. John Yoo, who set up the legal framework to authorize torture; the helicopter pilots who gunned down civilians, including two Reuters journalists, in the “Collateral Murder” video released by WikiLeaks. We have evidence of the crimes they committed.–end of portside info–

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
