WHENCE ALL THE PAGANS?

WHENCE ALL THE PAGANS?
-On one’s mind this morning before hearing of Maher’s “magical thinking” comment, seems too much of a coincidence to ignore.

–Bill Maher derides Trump voters who believe God spared the ex-president from death: ‘Magical thinking’

In the closing monologue of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the host mocked Trump supporters who have claimed that former President Trump’s assassination was prevented by an act of God, telling them to open their eyes and stop with the “magical thinking.”

“Enough is enough with interpreting every event as a DM [direct message] from heaven,” Maher said, rebuking religious Trump supporters during the segment.

Reading currently a book with the title “The Barbarian Conversion”, From Paganism to Christianity, the glaring void and denial of a one Jesus Christ, who was quite thoroughly Jewish, from all indications and historical  background.

He seems simply to have been a young and determined upstart who offended oldsters of the time.  Jesus seemed to attempt to cut through the nonsense of Establishment of the time, to touch the genuine character of The Creator.

The book being read is staunchly and interestingly revealing how Christianity eventually grew into the enormity it is today, mechanically speaking.  This is very interesting as one follows the gyrations of Establishment hierarchy and assuredly patriarchy that once again, as during the time of the historical Jesus, further promotes Establishment.

Most delightfully hypocritical is the presumption that paganism was obscured by Christianity; while we continue on a tradition of Easter bunnies and Christmas trees.  In other words, paganism is everywhere.  One challenges our “Christian Nationalist” Party headed by an orange savior to ‘splain their hypocrisy.

That they can so easily transpose reality into hypocrisy seems business as usual.

An immediate example was broadcast this morning on MSNBC when Dr. Jason Johnson made mention of his 14-year-old daughter.  The first thought that came to mind about this fellow who during the 2020 Presidential campaign, was of the bulwark of the Democratic Base who parroted blame….especially from white women…..that the woes of the world were feminine.  Subtle misogyny indoctrinated into little girls at an early age by patriarchal fathers, is still still misogyny.  The little girls absorbs this inferiority as her due in life.

Christianity has worked the same magic as it alludes to so-called disappearance of paganism as we live it every day under cover of Christianity.  This is the perfect bait-and-switch for Brother Trump.

This may also be the permission to NYS Rep Molinaro to introduce the mind-blowing legislation that would label as anti semitic, apparently the better to persecute people on grounds of domestic terrorism, those activists calling out the genocidal Israel government.  FACTually speaking many within the Jewish community would therefore be labeled as anti seminitic as they stand should to shoulder with Palestine and other anti-war activists.

A person lacking a level of ability to critical thinking does not deserve my vote.

Nor does Brother Trump deserve one’s vote.

And may all those young Ms. Johnson’s out there keep in mind women aren’t asking permission for equal rights; women are challenging patriarchal violation of women’s human rights.
