PATRISTIC VIEW OF PERSONAL PROPERTY

Defiance by capitalistic hierarchical Establishment has violated human and environmental rights for profit. Climate Change is the environmental witness as war is the human witness.

Climate scientists have long predicted that global warming would both aggravate droughts in California’s inland deserts and also intensify bouts of rainfall. Death Valley locals say they’re watching that dynamic play out in real time. How desert plants, animals and local economies adapt to the changes in an environment that’s already one of the most extreme on Earth will determine the future of this symbol of resilience.“It’s interesting to have a front row seat,” Donnelly said. “This is the signature of climate chaos.”

One wishes to share an ending excerpt from the thoughtful and informative book— Ownership: Early Christian Teaching  – Charles Avila’s important retrieval of patristic texts reminds us that the ‘option for the poor’ is not a new theological fad, but an ancient Christian legacy. Joe Holland, Center of Concern, Washington, D.C. Charles Avila has provided an important recovery of the patristic teachings on wealth and poverty and has shown that a Christian theology of stewardship must be rooted in an ethic of economic justice. Rosemary Radford Ruether, Carpenter Professor of Feminist Theology, Pacific School of Religion This book is a rich anthology of a stream of Christianity which offers a striking vision of what the Redemption ought to imply normatively for a Christian-inspired organization of economic and social life. Prophetic reminders of basic truths about wealth and poverty are never out of date. Denis Goulet, Professor Emeritus, University of Notre Dame At long last, here is a book from a Christian and Asian voice of the Third World who rediscovers and re-echoes afresh for our times the prophetic, undiluted, and revolutionary patristic thought on property – a well-kept secret until now

One has been more than a little non-plussed by the rhetoric and propaganda from the so-called Christian community that has usurped the role of both spiritual integrity and legitimate governance in the USA.  An over-lording approach by apparently hypocritical self-defined leaders using religious aggression partnering with manic defense of property rights along with the cliche of “run government like a business”, in defiance of actual reality as expressed shortly after Christianity became a thing, in the wake of the reason for said religion, which was the crucifixion of Jesus Christ for our sins.  Did this death for “our sins” set us free for our current Pyramid Scheme mindset?

The excerpt from the book is as follows–“Ever louder and clearer has the clamor become to establish a new economy of relative permanence–and economy whose foundation and goals rest upon activities generating goods and services essential in a life of human dignity, rather than one mainly geared to the production of consumer commodities peripheral to human life or, worse, still,to the destruction of life. Such a new economy that would be totally involved with life-sustaining productivity will be the only stable one.  In fact, it will be as sound and strong as the undeniable aspiration of every man and woman for greater life and freedom.”

Without taking sides on a topic about which one knows nothing, one wishes to comment on the relentless campaign of capitalistic hierarchical Establishment of assigning the label of cult or conspiracy theory, , to anything they wish to dismiss and censor out of conversation.

As our government steam-rolls Americans into accepting “running government like a business”, it is imperative that they demonize any ideas other than their own.

This seems to be a reason the sanity of the system endorsed by early Christian advocates has been whitewashed into our current private-property paradise that is a system that has given us Climate Change and never-ending wars.  This is the only way to maintain patriarchal supremacy.

This will make little sense to many indoctrinated Americans unless each has taken the citizen responsibility of researching such works as the actual pre-patriarchal propaganda rhetoric that put into action the system of corruption and hierarchy that created wealth and poverty.  Poverty and wealth are dependent upon each other, and ignores and defies the natural laws of The Creator.

Ask your politicians to explain themselves.

Bradley Bowman on the U.S.’ Role in Mideast Conflicts

Bradley Bowman of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies discusses the U.S. role in the Israel-Hamas war and recent military strikes between Israel and Iran.

This Mr. Bowman presumes to be capable of defining democracy.  Some people find his presumption to be more of the patriarchal propaganda.  But it is good to consider the proponents and defenders of the current system.

This is also a good time for the voice of Native Americans to be heard.  The teachings of the early Christian philosophers and saints on the topic of their views, echoes the lifestyle found within Native American cultures when colonizers arrived in the Americas.  In FACT, even after genocide and atrocious campaigns to stamp out the Native American cultures, they have maintained.  Consider “our economy” for the majority of humanity, if Christians had been as strong, confident and resolved.
