VOTER RESPONSIBILITY

Neera Tandon, a Democratic campaign strategist loud and prominent in 2020, was back speaking about Biden’s new attempts to lower drug prices.  Wasn’t she the obnoxious person who characterized universal-health care advocate Bernie Sanders as “making her skin crawl”?….Like anyone cared.

Her pure politicking was one element that undermined the voter franchise of so many Bernie Sanders supporters, in service to the D&R duopoly.

When Trump speaks in this way, he is castigated for doing so, some should speak to Neera Tandon about integrity..

Many voters were thoughtfully supporting Bernie Sanders before the Democratic Party Bosses stepped in to interfere and violate the voting rights of We The People.

A competent Bernie Sanders would have been working toward universal health care for Americans rather than shipping fighter planes to genocidal Israel.  And by the way, that Americans are implicit in genocide against Muslims cannot be done in my name.

A team-oriented electorate such as MAGA voters and their counterpart the Democratic Base suggest ignorance reigns.  We do indeed get the leaders we deserve.

And meanwhile such politikers as Trump and Tandon use vile recrimination to censor away real discussion about governance.

In NYS where exists enclaves of involved and informed voters, the Primary seemed to result in less than anticipated numbers for Joe Biden, apparently due to his support for genocidal Israel against Palestinians.

The Southern Tier atmosphere has over decades been sullied by the Trump taint, and also had been impacted by 9/11 when our first responders  were among those to travel the 300 miles to NYC to help.  The stories of lingering health problems are known by everyone.  So is the intimate proximity to Trumpdom with a working knowledge of “running government like a business”, AKA organized crime.

Meanwhile down the road with the Trump followers— House Speaker Mike Johnson to travel to Binghamton for event with Rep. Molinaro—

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., will travel to Binghamton Thursday for an event with Republican U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro focused on law enforcement funding and public safety. 

The Thursday meeting will be at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and is said to feature sheriff’s deputies, neighboring law enforcement, other first responders and families. 

Johnson’s trip comes as Molinaro seeks reelection in the 19th Congressional District. Broome County is the most-populous county there and could play a large role in in the upcoming election. Molinaro is being challenged by Democrat Josh Riley, who is from Endicott, a village just outside Binghamton. Molinaro flipped the seat in 2022, defeating Riley by about 4,500 votes.
