PRIVATE OWNERSHIP AND THE FEUDAL SYSTEM
Ratchet private ownership one click and you may have feudalism.
The Supreme Court decision to legalize corruption in the electoral process byway of Citizens United is a form of censorship of local-community voters that has reinforced a system of government that is authoritarian. Human rights and natural rights are undermined to make way for profiteering. The justices are cashing in, in disturbing self-interest as dictators will.

Among its distressing actions, the six-justice supermajority is aggressively pursuing an anti-environment agenda driven by, among others, the nation’s biggest polluters.

Congress along with President Biden ignored separation of powers as they included in the budget negotiation, the Mountain Valley Pipeline project. — https://www.politico.com/news/2023/05/28/debt-ceiling-deal-mountain-valley-pipeline-00099135 – “After working with Speaker McCarthy and reiterating what completing the Mountain Valley Pipeline would mean for American jobs and domestic energy production, I am thrilled it is included in the debt ceiling package that avoids default,” Capito, a Republican, said in a statement. “Despite delay after delay, we continued to fight to get this critical natural gas pipeline up and running, and its inclusion in this deal is a significant victory for the future of West Virginia.”

A panel of judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, which has previously rejected permits for the project, unanimously decided to grant the motion to stop construction. The ruling came after language in the debt ceiling law directed federal agencies to issue permits needed for the controversial pipeline favored by Senate Energy Chair Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.).–end of politico info–

A reason I strongly challenge the reason for the Proxy War against Russia in Ukraine based upon the assumption that Ukrainian local-community voices are raised in defense of NATO that would usher in “Western values”, is that if even Americans have been indoctrinated that “Western values” aren’t violating our human and natural rights by capitalistic hierarchical Establishment, are we sure Ukrainian local-community members are any better informed?
We could benefit from a discussion of to what length does private ownership differ from the feudal system of the Middle Ages. — https://popularresistance.org/the-future-is-now-rethinking-public-ownership/ – In thinking about public ownership, it is worth remembering the origins of the forms of nationalisation that were introduced after the second world war. These are surprisingly diverse. Some, such as the National Coal Board and the National Dock Labour Board (both established in 1947) were the direct result of workers’ action, albeit mediated by government takeovers during the war. Other forms of public ownership can be traced back to what is often called ‘municipal socialism’, which in practice would have been better characterised as a kind of paternalistic liberalism.

In the USA, one anecdotally shares ideas about privatization–
*Many youngsters won’t recall the era of privatization perhaps best identified by globalism, that exploded into Pyramid-Scheme economics
*Globalism strengthened the transfer of wealth from the public to the private sector
*In the USA, using one example, precious and desirable land around bodies of water, for example, were bought up by the elite for their private use, excluding the general public to an extent not experienced previously
* Concomitant with globalism and privatization (deregulation) has been global warming
*Global warming particularly places in danger, property on bodies of water
*When inevitable hyper-storms hit the wealthy, cries for Federal assistant (socialism) are loud and long
In the feudal era, one can imagine a rallying of the locals by the King for defense when he has “stepped in it”. Our system is deeply flawed and frankly childish, and tending toward the feudal system. General public, be prepared to lay down your lives for he wealthy. The Ukrainians are.

One is interested in many of the mores of Indigenous People who appear to have a grasp on societies that are beneficial to people and nature alike. That colonization undermined these lifestyles doesn’t mean they are incorrect. We might with to give this a try. From lakotalaw—-
After a protracted series of delays, we continue to await the long-promised draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Dakota Access pipeline (DAPL). In today’s Water Wars video — produced as always by us in partnership with the Standing Rock Nation and Great Plains Tribal Water Alliance — we take you inside a May meeting between tribal leaders and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. You’ll see our frustration: none of Standing Rock’s serious concerns about DAPL have yet been addressed, and both the tribe and public must soon be given the ability to review and provide input on the environmental impacts of the dangerous and illegal pipeline.
You probably know the history. Late in 2016, President Obama heard the call of thousands and halted construction on DAPL, citing the requirement of the National Environmental Policy Act that a full environmental assessment be done. But Trump greenlit the project in violation of federal law as soon as he took office. Now DAPL crosses the Missouri River and our treaty lands with no effective plan, as far as we’ve seen, for handling a spill.
And we know the current DEIS process is a sham. Environmental Resources Management (ERM), the company tapped by the Army Corps of Engineers to prepare the study, is a member of the American Petroleum Institute. And that body filed a legal brief in support of DAPL in Standing Rock’s lawsuit against the Army Corps. That’s an obvious conflict of interest.
The Army Corps has routinely ignored Standing Rock’s many critical concerns, and that’s why we’re counting on you when the public comment period finally opens. That could be any week now. No matter what, please stay ready to demand that the Army Corps procure a new EIS prepared by an impartial party — and shut this pipeline down.
Wopila tanka — thank you, as ever, for standing with Standing Rock.

Kevin Kosar on Improved Governance and Election Reform
Kevin Kosar from the American Enterprise Institute talked about proposed reforms to the nation’s election system to achieve better governance.–end of c-span info–
While one is in direct opposition to the stance from Howie Hawkins about the US Proxy War with Russia in Ukraine, one is grateful for his consistent support for free elections, including ranked choice voting. It is uniquely laughable that the D&R duopoly reject ranked choice voting because it would undermine the power of the R&D duopoly. That, boys, and girls, is the point. Free elections would change our governance. In other words, it would undermine dictatorship. This could actually be an improvement though Citizens United is a drag on fair and free elections. Imagine the fairness and freedom if the corruption of Citizens United is removed from the current corporate system.****
As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate——–
