COOPERATION OR COMPETITION?

The concept that “we’re only human” can be used as an excuse or an inspiration.  The system of capitalism has been described as offering the greatest good to the most people.  This may be true until it isn’t. 

  Evidence suggests that like most things, it can be used for good or evil.  It seems MSM talking heads, or at least a few of them, have been indoctrinated into viewing as “Pollyanna-sh”, anything that is aside from a predatory and gluttonous mindset.  And so competition is prized over cooperation.  There is no reason for this aside from hierarchical propaganda.  This is necessary to transfer the wealth of the nation from the 100% to the 1%.  This is a matter of choice.  For example, in suggesting that man is made in the image of God, we seem to  choose traits such as blond hair and blue eyes when we could instead choose tolerance, love, and equality.  And by the way, cooperation could be the preferred trait over competition.

A personal and uninvolved view of cronyism in the Southern Tier of NYS includes A local Sheriff who endorsed into the position of State Senate, his Deputy, who then when in positions of power endorsed for DA, a personality of their liking.  This isn’t illegal, notably due to a bought-and-paid-for system based on Citizens United, that also is quite legal, but highly questionable.  Voters can make their own decisions, but should keep in mind the process.

First, they should recognise that we are essential workers, and then we should be recognised with wages for our work because we work much more than we should have to. We do a lot of work promoting gender equality and health, we work as cooks in canteens and in eateries, and none of this is recognised or made visible. Some people have chosen to speak up on the topic of priorities because, so far, remaining meek and compliant as some women may, isn’t working so well.  And so in the Southern Tier of NYS the outside-interest baseball stadium took precedent over non-predatory health care systems, meaningful educational systems, and child care, to name a few.

An April 8th guest on C-Spannamed Ryan Clancey from No Labels, answering on the topic of avoidance of 3rd political Parties by Democrats and Republicans, because Republicans and Democrats don’t want the competition.  This seems to be a very logical conclusion.  The goal isn’t good government but rather political-Party control.  Competition is a path to control.  Competition works well in capitalism and cooperation promotes principles of democracy.

On 4/9 the Easter-morning discussion on C-Span is about religion and how closely connected should be government and religion.

(From everything available, it seems Jesus didn’t write anything.  Apparently notes weren’t being taken.  The writing occurred years later byway of the interpretation by others as they put the words of Jesus into foreign languages which itself is a tricky business.  Also the understanding of the Jewish culture didn’t interpret into Gentile understanding, so it seems that was another transcribing challenge.    The marketing, so to speak, was to Gentiles who it is said took their worldview from what would later become known as pagans.  If this challenge of transcription wasn’t made, the marketing would have collapsed, or so goes the history.  The next oddity is the rather large number of “gospels” that were strained out by institutional-religion hierarchy.  This seems to be a reason the actual concepts in modern-day Bibles are different from the “words of Jesus” included therein.  It’s really quite fascinating.  The phrase that comes to mind is that you can’t believe your lying eyes.  One can actually watch the difference between the purported words of Jesus and the practice of institutional religion)

Not surprisingly, we continue to see that such existential threat— the direct result of the dominant socioeconomic structures of capitalism—continue to fall on the indifferent ears of those in power, particularly in the Global North, the overwhelming precursor of the planetary rift we face. Instead, these elites persist on a narrative that makes most people think that all we need to do is to decrease our carbon dioxide emissions to address climate change (which is only one of the nine planetary boundaries that we are on the verge of or have already transgressed) without changing the consumeristic lifestyle systems required for capitalism to sustain itself. As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-


 This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?

Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
