This feels like conflict of interest.  Jim Clyburn seems to have acted as questionably toward supporters of Bernie Sanders in 2020.  And it could be forgivable if the Democratic Party actually governed for the public.  
The topic of Eric Garland is extant today.  He so-called answered questions, in particular about use of the CIA to monitor parents at school board meetings.  With absolutely no confidence in Ted Cruz, heaven help us, the response from Eric Garland about conflict of interest in promoting CRT policies while his son-in-law would personally be enriched, is troubling.  It is also symptomatic of “running government like a business”.  The question put to Garland that he could not answer was simply, “did you request an ethics ruling on your participation due to conflict of interest that would enrich your son-in-law.  It’s an apt question.
However, that the Republican sycophants have not questioned the Trump Administration is indicative of the broad corruption in the Republican branch of the Democratic/Republican duopoly.
And by the way, some people have called for reconsideration of our common-core style of education due to obvious indoctrination of children into service of capitalism instead of educating into the role of responsible citizen capable of self-governing according to principles of a democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  The matter has been raised for about a decade, with no reaction from too many parents.
C-Span spoke to current news of school board meetings and parent involvement, and also the unusual involvement of the CIA. Locally in NYS, law enforcement Establishment has urged “crack-downs” on “activists”.  One wonders if this would include parents at school board meetings, or would it be only for citizens so labeled by law enforcement personnel and bureaucrats.  But as to C-Span, several calls were of interest—9:15AM–caller–paraphrase–C-Span doesn’t demand direct answers to questions from either of Democrats or Republicans.
