Direction and control by hierarchy are supported by homogenizing culture into a malleable and sterile unit.   –Without culture’, Fidel repeated, ‘no freedom is possible’.11 We revolutionaries, according to him, are obliged to study, to inform ourselves, to nurture our critical thinking day by day. This cultural education, together with essential ethical values, will allow us to liberate ourselves definitively in a world where the enslavement of minds and consciences predominates. His call to ‘emancipat[e] ourselves by ourselves and with our own efforts’ is equivalent to saying that we must decolonise ourselves with our own efforts.12 And culture is, of course, the main instrument of that decolonising process of self-learning and self-emancipation.

Some politicians seem to support declaration of the USA as a theocracy.         –We found that members of younger generations are less likely than those of older generations to support declaring the U.S. a Christian nation.

Tyranny is more easily explained away when one has a god on one’s side.

Combining the rhetoric by Joe Biden as mentioned in the link below, with the presumption of theocracy in the USA as touched upon in the link above, is seriously the inane maelstrom in which we live in 2022.       –President Joe Biden makes me laugh. One would think at his age, he would know that you can’t heal a major illness, or wound, until you start at the source. I am referring to his continually saying, “We have to heal the soul of the United States (U.S.).”

That’s never going to happen until the powers-that-be, including President Biden, begin to heal the original illness, or wound, as you wish, which is the mistreatment and injustice they continue to give to the Original Nations, the American Indian Nations who are us. Some call it Karma. We call it the circle.

Consider the power of 700 women.  We should question the reason this wasn’t reported on MSM, considering weight and validation would be provided for uplifting of voices against hierarchical Establishment; especially hierarchical Establishment often implicated in military imperialism.

 —     –An open letter signed by 700-plus feminist groups and activists sent on Aug. 8 to UN Women, protesting a recently announced partnership between the agency and BlackRock, a United States-based hedge fund, resulted in the cancellation of the arrangement.

The letter pointed out that BlackRock personifies “crisis-prone speculation-based capitalism” and that the May 25 joint press releases announcing the partnership by both parties offered no useful or explicit details on what it would accomplish.

According to the letter, the relationship between the U.N. agency and BlackRock “gives UN Women the job of sanitizing the reputation of an asset management institution whose investments have contributed to some degree to climate catastrophe, the economic immiseration of women and other groups marginalized because of sexuality, gender, race, and class, and the proliferation of weapons, and by association, the increased recourse to political violence in unstable politics.”

Within two weeks, the partnership was canceled, albeit with no public announcement.

From lakotalaw  —    Yesterday was National Voter Registration Day, and today I have great news for you. This November, we’re partnering once again — just as we have over the past two election cycles — with the Standing Rock Nation to activate Native voters and forward the mission for justice and inclusion. And this year, it’s something new, different, and exciting. Because everyone on the rez loves basketball, we’re hosting a three-on-three tournament in Rapid City with teams from reservations across Lakota Country: It’s time for Rezball3!

The tournament, to be held on Oct. 22-23 in Rapid City, will feature some very special guests from the pro sports world (we can’t yet mention them by name) and bring together families, fans, and communities from across tribal lines. Most importantly, it will serve as a massive voter registration drive. We expect youths, elders, and everyone in between, offering the opportunity for our organizing team to register thousands of new voters and ensure all attendees have their vote plans locked in like a shooter who can’t miss. So, today, because organizing on this level is both costly and extremely important, I ask you to contribute every dollar you can — then come back on game days to watch the tournament, streamed live!

If you’ve been with us for a few years now, you know what our get-out-the-vote work looked like in 2018 and 2020. If not, I’m here to tell you, those were huge undertakings and even bigger successes. In 2018, our organizers helped to more than double voter turnout on the Standing Rock Nation over the previous midterm. And in 2020, our team of 40 Native canvassers and phone bankers reached out to more than a quarter million voters — on Standing Rock and in other mostly Native communities in key states across the U.S. — helping more than 11,000 to form and execute their vote plans and make their voices heard.

In those two tremendously important elections — especially in 2020! — those voters made a real and lasting impact. In 2022, we have yet another opportunity to be difference makers for our future by motivating electoral participation together. This will matter even more now in South Dakota, since we recently won our lawsuit as plaintiffs against the state, forcing it to (at last) comply with the national Voter Registration Act! Targeted social media outreach by our talented social team will also activate Native voters in battleground states like Arizona and Wisconsin.

Tribal nations throughout Lakota Country are signing on to participate, one by one. We’ll keep you updated as things progress. In advance of this special event, let me say that I’m very grateful to you for your generosity, to everyone who participates in our Rezball3 events as either a player or fan, and especially to everyone who takes the time to vote and support the vote for communities like mine on Cheyenne River Nation.

Wopila tanka — thank you, always, for your friendship and support!

P.S. Every $11 you can help us raise will help us register another Native voter this election season! Please give what you can today to help us reach our goal of $33,000 to register 3,000 Native voters through the groundbreaking Rezball3 basketball tourney, hosted by the Standing Rock Nation in partnership with Lakota Law. Then tune in on Oct. 22-23 to watch the tourney, featuring high-quality action and some very special guests. Like an open shooter with the game on the line in the final seconds, you won’t want to miss it! —-endof lakotalaw info– —Senior military officials routinely attempt to affect policy (and politicians, and voter sentiment) with public statements designating the next Enemy of the Week and begging for more money and more operational authority to fight the wars it chooses rather than the wars Congress declares (the last time Congress was willing to take that kind of responsibility was  in 1942, when it added Bulgaria, Hungary, and Romania to its list of World War Two opponents).

The Department of Defense maintains an “Entertainment Media Office” to support filmmakers with military resources. Needless to say, only productions which glorify the US armed forces need apply. The most recent prominent example (involving no fewer than two US Navy aircraft carriers, multiple aircraft and military pilots, etc.) is mega-hit Top Gun: Maverick.

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-

This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?
The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–          —#GreenSocialist Notes #76
Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt.       —

Ross Perot in 1992 on NAFTA and the “Giant Sucking Sound”

Centralization is the lifeblood of the R&D duopoly.  It’s the way to enforce capitalism onto workers in 2022.———————–We can do better———-

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!

Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly.  Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism.  Some people vote accordingly.
