On 5/26/2022 and aired on The PBS NewsHour was an interview about the shooting in Texas, between a PBS host and a mental health “professional”.  The question from the host related to a query as to the reason that predominantly the shooters are young males.  The professional answered in typical psycho babble but without touching on an answer to the question.  

This is symptomatic of a captured news platform, where those guiding the conversation seem tentative about practicing journalism, or even requesting an answer to a relevant question about mass murder. 

The topic of lack of mental health has been raised recently, as a problem in the USA.  Institution is insinuated as an answer to mental health problems; and if the example includes obfuscation, we have real problems.

C-Span–7:10AM–Host asked caller who opposes expansion of gun safety regulations, whether he would accept raising gun ownership to age 21.  Caller said (paraphrase) no because the military age is 18.

One person’s opinion is that 18 is the military age because maturing to age 21 would provide vital time for youngsters to consider whether she/he wishes in FACT to be sent around the globe to kill the children of other local communities in the support of imperialism.

C-Span–7:40AM–caller–paraphrase–The government could form a committee to study the reason for shootings.

Some people who promote peace as the fall-back mindset for the USA, believes that a serious and honest study of American culture could uncover aggression, violence, and militarism.

One wonders what more can be said about a nation that seems hell-bent on continuing down paths that degrade both humanity and nature.  One needn’t even mention that which everyone is talking about today.  At the bottom of the evil seems to be greed and power.  A few FACTS to discuss—

*The Founders warned against intervention in foreign nations

*Apparently the definition of guns needs to be discussed.  Does that include all military equipment?

*Should parents have rights to their children, over institutions?

*Do women have control of their own bodies; and if not, why is the Establishment that has given the USA our current style of governance, to be insinuated instead?

*Is Climate Change a threat to Earth and humanity?
