UTOPIA OR DYSTOPIAN?
An incident of brainwashing is evident in bureaucratic contempt for Utopian ideas. That to reach perfection is ostensibly impossible and the requirement to do so may be unhealthy, to attempt toward as nearly as possible that which is ideal surely isn’t wrong. Yet when ideas are introduced that to support a more equitable life for We The People, along with liberty and justice, you will hear a majority of politicians reject these notions. Yet the personal status of politicians seem to tend to heights of quality of life that are legislatively unavailable to the general public.
In other nations this could be described as dictatorship.

Thomas More’s Utopia (1516) exemplifies this disagreement. The work is structured as a dialogue between a fictionalised Thomas More and a man named Raphael Hythloday (or Hythlodaeus, meaning ‘talker of nonsense’ in Greek) who claims to have travelled to an island where money has been abolished, property is held in common and civic virtue flourishes. Utopia functions less as an argument for a perfect end state and more as a form of political speech against the ruination and pauperisation of peasant life due to England’s practice of enclosure of common land. The question guiding Utopia is whether it was reasonable to expect peasants who have been dispossessed to resist committing the crime of stealing in order to survive. For More, it was the non-utopians who had misjudged reality, and so it was not only their priorities that had to be challenged, but their overall conception of reality. If it is true that politics should begin with the world as it is, then politics will always find itself engaged with utopian need. Utopia is not where all our problems are solved. It is where we can clarify them and attain a standpoint with respect to how the present arrangements of life produce problems of need–end of aeon info–
This morning C-Span hosted a short discussion about Hunter Biden.https://www.c-span.org/video/?519070-5/washington-journal-sadie-gurman-discusses-hunter-biden-investigation –MARCH 30, 2022 | PART OF WASHINGTON JOURNAL 03/30/2022
Washington Journal
Sadie Gurman on the Hunter Biden Investigation
–end of c-span info–The topic is far beyond the personal actions of Hunter Biden. Several thoughts—*Use of the phrase “unprovoked Russian attack on Ukraine” must ignore FACTS of insinuation of “Western values” by politicians and commercial interests*If we are to cling to Western values as an excuse for intrusion into the politics of foreign nations, we must take those values in their entirety*Media has reported expanding fascism in the USA*The Administration within which Joe Biden functioned, with little to no interest in European history, used the concept of spreading democracy and offering a better life when too many questions about conflict of interest went unacknowledged*Questions about Hunter Biden were ignored during the 2020 Presidential campaign*Democratic so-called leaders who interfered in the Democratic Primary to install Joe Biden are currently silent on the topic of the War between the Ukraine and Russia. To avoid innuendo one waits to hear from Jim Clyburn who curiously interjected personal power to undermine million of American voters who chose Bernie Sanders*The Trump relationship with Putin is equally uncomfortable and mirrors the Biden association in the Ukraine that spans a decade and is based on commerce, according to reports that are only painfully slowly unfolding
When commercial interests…………….. 1…..Buy politicians via Citizens United2….Collaborate with legislators to pass laws via www.alec.org3….Refuse to answer to Representatives of The People ……Could this be called fascism, or is it simple dictatorship?——https://www.commondreams.org/news/2022/03/29/consumers-pay-oil-ceos-refuse-testify-congress-about-soaring-prices —–As people across the United States face record-high gas prices—compounded by rising grocery bills and prices for other essentials—executives at three major oil companies are refusing to testify before Congress about what their firms could do to lessen the burden on U.S. households, leaving Democratic lawmakers and consumer advocates to condemn the companies for profiting amid lower and middle-class people’s financial pain.

*The C-Span guest speaking of Hunter Biden referred to “tycoons”, which may be similar to the phrase “Russian oligarchs”. While some of the elite appear reluctant to refer to American oligarchs as though they don’t exist, the manifestation from either tycoons or oligarchs is that their disagreements play out on the backs of the public, whether Ukrainian, Russian, or American. This is a decidedly barbaric process that appears back throughout history, and which manifestation should be in the trash-heap of acceptable behavior*The Founders attempted to break from the actions of dictatorship and monarchy in the US Constitution, but hierarchy keeps dragging humanity back into acceptance of exploitation
Is the following better or worse than the life people lived pre-technological advances? Probably different views such as quantity, time span, and inner fortitude play into one’s answer. But experts advise that mental illness is on the upswing in the USA. Reportedly death due to drug addiction has increased along with death due to vehicle accidents. Need anyone speak of the upheaval due to Climate Change? Probably most of us wouldn’t wish to live in a time before plumbing and electricity. But we may have built the system high and fragile rather than wide and stable. We surely can do better.
Money and power are at the root of the exploitation of humanity as human resources and the environment as natural resources. We need a different economic system. —https://scheerpost.com/2022/03/28/our-economic-system-is-making-us-mentally-ill/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=our-economic-system-is-making-us-mentally-ill –The sense of precariousness never really goes away. Instead collectively of sharing the risks of life, we’re increasingly saddled with the heavy burdens of existing in an overwhelmingly complex, modern world. We’re lonely individuals, fighting to stay afloat no matter what our situation. There are a few lucky winners, sure (and even many of them are psychically damaged), but most of us are forced to battle in an unrelenting struggle and competition for rewards. Hunger games, status games, power games, the list goes on and on.–end of scheerpost from radindie—-

PETITION—-Sign if you wish in support of Bernie Sanders who continues to fight for We The People, who support a 1-payer comprehensive public health care policy——https://act.berniesanders.com/signup/fobs-march22-medicare-for-all/?source=em220329-1-30&refcode2=9102.105164.Zzkeh0&akid=9102%2E105164%2EZzkeh0 -In the United States, unlike any other major country in the world, when you lose your job, you lose your health care. That is insane. That is why I’d like to ask you to do something today to help send a powerful message that health care must be guaranteed as a human right in this country, not just an employee benefit.

From lakotalaw—– Last week, racial discrimination against Native People reared its ugly head in South Dakota, once again. On Facebook, Connie Uhre, a non-Native hotel owner in Rapid City, proclaimed: “We will no longer allow any Native American on property.” Her new policy apparently went into effect right away, because Native customers were denied accommodations immediately thereafter.
There’s just no room for this type of discrimination and segregation in 2022. Please join the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and tell U.S. Attorney general Merrick Garland to initiate an investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and prosecute to the full letter of the law. I want you to know that we expect the DOJ to do its job here. Standing Rock has submitted its own letter to AG Garland and is following up to make sure we’re being listened to. Your voice can really help make a difference! And we aren’t content just to write and call. We’re also on the ground in force. This past Saturday, my little family — including my unci (grandmother) Madonna Thunder Hawk — arrived at Roosevelt Park for the “Indians Allowed” rally in Rapid City. It wasn’t very long before relatives of all ages began to fill in the spaces of green grass. Flags whipped in the wind, and I could see that everyone was here: Cheyenne River, Standing Rock, Rosebud, Crow Creek, and the American Indian Movement. Those who were asked to speak told of how our ancestors were guiding us and how we need to remember their sacrifices. When Tasunke Witko’s name was spoken, the song of Crazy Horse cut through the air and trills and war cries rose toward the sky. I had chills. Before the walk began, my sister Cante Heart handed me a megaphone. “Let’s do this, sister,” she said, and it gave me a nostalgic feeling. As we marched down Lacrosse Street, the road was lined with more relatives with their fists in the air.I raised the megaphone to my lips. “Rapid City needs to be reminded of whose land they’re on! Whose Land!?” The crowd chanted. “OUR LAND!” “WHOSE LAND?” “OUR LAND!” As we made our way toward the Grand Gateway Hotel, car horns of supporters blared. I again spoke into the megaphone: “Rapid City you are on OCETI SAKOWIN LAND! Your racism is not welcome here!” My relatives chanted with me once again: “No more RACISM! No more RACISM!”As we approached the Grand Gateway Hotel, I gave one last shout: “Connie Uhre, you’re on Indian Land! Your eviction notice has been POSTED!” And as we filled the parking lot, I watched with pride as an eviction notice banner was hung from the Grand Gateway sign.It was a wonderful day, and a reminder of how strong we can be when we gather together in solidarity. So I ask you to join us, wherever you are. Please write to the Attorney General and tell him to investigate. This isn’t the 1950s, and we now have civil rights legislation — backed by years of case law — that says no business owner can discriminate based on race. We refuse to let this land slide backward to the days when the color of a person’s skin seemed to matter more than the content of their character.Wopila tanka — thank you for your love and solidarity!
