Inspiration for terrorism isn’t predictable.  One wonders of the part played by JD Vance when he first called childless women cat ladies, and then apologized to cats.  This typically related to the hubris of a 17-year-old honing maturing patriarchal egos when there is little to nothing of real quality from which to draw.

Ms. Swift dared to exhibit independence with her innocent love of cats and freedom.  Maybe JD’s meanness waxed the skids of the fellow, maybe he didn’t.  The meanness by a 30-something apparent V-P candidate, either way, is not civilized.  Half of the population does not deserve such treatment from those stuck in puberty. phases.

Democratic pollster and strategist Carly Cooperman talked about campaign 2024.

Marc Lotter invested time ‘splaining the reason the misogyny used in the Trump/Vance campaign was appropriate.  One of his reasons pertained to mothers who were frightened to permit their teen daughters to go out for a run, due to immigrant criminality.

Mr. Lotter didn’t mention the derogatory rhetoric that is intrinsic in patriarchy. 

Women are in danger when outside of their homes, due to violence.  But then one thinks of the statistic that said the most dangerous place for a woman was in her own home.

And then the thought came to mind of the GOP view that domestic violence perpetrators had a right to maintain ownership of guns.

For example in the Southern Tier of NYS, a quiet backwater of Upstate, we have had an inordinate variety of domestic violence incidents, some so macabre as to beyond mention, some leading to death of the woman or a child.

Immigrant criminals are surely a problem, but in the face of violence far more terrorizing with the actions of some loved ones. the bait-and-switch is unacceptable.

As to the cat lady slur, this phrase has been dug out from the trash bin of the ’50’s and ’60’s when use of such language was means by which maturing teen boys built up muscle to manly attitude.  That the slur continued into the ’70’s attests to the impression on young minds.

More vital is for women to address the new reality of patriarchal violation of human rights of women.  In this category please don’t overlook the growing demand, one believes from Vance, to do away with no-fault divorce.

In the NYS of by-gone years, this meant to obtain an immediate divorce in order to provide a better chance of female survival.  She had to prove cruelty.  This included witness from others of bruises on bodies.  This would preclude the 1-year waiting period, which is a dangerous and frightening interlude.

After a divorce, many men blessedly choose to prove their manhood by dating other unfortunate women, providing a bit of relief to the ex.

This interlude is better than a Honey Moon.

So don’t be so offended by the cat lady slur, pay more attention to physical violation of female human rights

JD and possibly Donald are still fascinated by their abilities that are the natural development phase experienced by everyone.  Some people move through this phase, some don’t.

Phases are good.  Some people get stuck.  The next phase may be even better.  Those stuck will never know.
