Saudis take 100% control of America’s largest oil refinery

In addition to Port Arthur, Aramco is acquiring full ownership of 24 distribution terminals. Aramco also gets the exclusive right to sell Shell-branded gasoline and diesel in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, the eastern half of Texas and the majority of Florida.

Despite that rhetoric, relations between the US and Saudi Arabia appear to have improved under Trump. House Oversight investigating $2B Saudi investment in Jared Kushner’s firm–

WASHINGTON — The House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into a $2 billion investment by the Saudi government into a firm formed by Jared Kushner after he left the White House last year.

Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., wrote in a letter to Kushner that her committee is looking into the investment by the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia, which is controlled by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, into Kushner’s firm Affinity.

The probe will focus on whether Kushner’s personal financial interests improperly influenced U.S. foreign policy while he served in the White House under his father-in-law, former President Donald Trump, Maloney wrote in the letter –end of saudi/kushner/trump iinfo–

House Speaker Mike Johnson to travel to Binghamton for event with Rep. Molinaro

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., will travel to Binghamton Thursday for an event with Republican U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro focused on law enforcement funding and public safety. 

The Thursday meeting will be at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and is said to feature sheriff’s deputies, neighboring law enforcement, other first responders and families. 

Johnson’s trip comes as Molinaro seeks reelection in the 19th Congressional District. Broome County is the most-populous county there and could play a large role in in the upcoming election. Molinaro is being challenged by Democrat Josh Riley, who is from Endicott, a village just outside Binghamton. Molinaro flipped the seat in 2022, defeating Riley by about 4,500 votes.

The Southern Tier of NYS has a thriving networking system as exemplified by the Sheriff–DA combination who enthusiastically endorsed each other and now are working the same for their networking cronies.  This excellent strategy works well for their hierarchy.  

Association with Johnson/Trump/Kushner/Saudis could give pause to the thoughtful local voter.

But the former president says he believes the speaker is doing a “very good job”.–end of bbc info–Do tell.  Who says either is doing “a very good job”, other than cross-endorsing each other?  And again, hous-about those international oligarchs?

More than 3 dozen illegal weapons seized from Johnson City home–

JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) — Numerous weapons were recovered from a residence on Albert Avenue in Johnson City Friday morning, village police announced Friday.

Johnson City Police Chief Brent Dodge said 36 illegal handguns, seven illegal assault weapons and 1,000 rounds of ammunition were seized. A bulletproof vest was also taken from the residence.

Dodge said officers showed up to what they thought was a routine domestic incident call but were able to pick up on signs that indicated more was going on in the home. Detectives found the stash of the non-registered weapons after the execution of a search warrant.

–end  of gun seizure info–  The JCPD seem to do a competent and self-contained job of administering law enforcement that seems focused on protecting and serving.  This is reported to be one of the largest illegal-gun seizures events in Broome County history.  And so it was endearing to watch the DA, participant in the Southern Tier hierarchy scheme mentioned previously, elbow his way in front of the JCPD interview; as though the ole’-boy network had anything to do with this.  

JCPD Police Chief Dodge has given credit for the successful seizure on the patrolmen who did the work.  It could have been left this way without the ole’-boy network intrusion and politicking.

This is the opinion of one person who is admittedly skeptical of patriarchy and Pyramid Schemes.

Piggy-backing on networking schemes one inevitably will find nepotism.  This may be a dangerous combination for We The People.
