COMMONALITY BETWEEN HAITI AND CUBA

The broken record of capitalistic hierarchical Establishment continues to play.

The U.S. government officially denies a coup took place and claims it did not force Aristide to flee. But the February 29, 2004 coup d’état successfully removed a regional leader who resisted complying with U.S. prescriptions. The following 20 years of supporting governments opposed to Aristide — most of them unelected or elected in flawed elections— have prevented the emergence of other non-compliant Haitian leaders.

But as the United States faces its own election this year that President Biden calls an existential threat to our democracy, and struggles with the arrival of Haitians fleeing the horrific conditions that our policies helped generate, it is time to reconsider this approach.

Twenty years ago, in the first days of the heat of the anti-fracking movement in the USA, some people surmised that the practice could be instrumental in causing earthquakes.  Some people who put these thoughts into typed words, were threatened by pro-corporate forces.

Some people have remarked about the collaboration between The politicians within the Clinton Administration and the pro-fast-tracking of TPP Obama Administration, and the world-wide allusion of Clinton Foundation involvement around the world, under the label of “raising people out of poverty”.

We have questions that should be asked then answered.  We are watching a very disturbing scene in US-financed Israel against local communities.  We could inquire into dual-citizenship Israel lawmakers in the US Congress.  Like so much else, probably not illegal, but surely questionable.  Let’s ask.  Can a definition of money laundering arise when considering funding to Israeli politicians, followed by AIPAC funding of US politicians via campaign donations sanctioned by Citizens United?

Remembering is the fun part of aging.  Wokesters can learn if they will.  In FACT, most of the “Gen Whatevers” seem quite unaware about our history.  It’s better that way.

Establishment characters fleeing from Haiti may mirror those who fled Cuba, back in the day.
