INSTITUTIONAL TAXATION

Especially referring to the topic of taxation of religious institutions.

Some people notice outside agitators supporting Christian nationalism in our political process, carpet bagging, so to speak, from Alabama/Louisiana in order to fund raise in the Southern Tier of NYS, for a seeming ‘ol’ boy” political -crony enclave.

Interestingly confusing legislation has recently come out of Alabama, requiring the mention of connection between Louisiana and Alabama.  https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-68366337

Not taking a position on this topic, one does shine light on the presumption from the ‘ol’-boy network that questions The Creator who appears to have placed under the jurisdiction of women, matters that require non-hysterical consideration that said network works  from.  What’s up with that, fellas?  Put your ego’s back under wraps, where it belongs.

Speaker Mike Johnson draws scrutiny for ties to far right Christian movements  – House Speaker Mike Johnson is set to keynote an event for lawmakers who promote conservative Christian dominance — the latest connection illustrating his close relationship with Christian extremists.

Now, their views go further than abolishing abortion nationwide or walking back same-sex marital rights. At a conference that this group held earlier this year, one speaker defended the idea of the death penalty for gay people. Johnson’s ties to far-right Christian movements are unprecedented for a lawmaker in such a high position of authority.–end of npr info–

REMINDER: Marc Molinaro Played a “Pivotal Role” In Electing Extremist Speaker Mike Johnson – DCCC

As Marc Molinaro has his campaign coffers padded today by extremist Speaker Mike Johnson during his visit to Broome County, the DCCC is reminding voters with a video that the vulnerable New York Republican has consistently caved to his dangerous, far-right party bosses in DC. Johnson is also fundraising for fellow MAGA extremist Brandon Williams today as well.

Molinaro, who’s been out-fundraised by Josh Riley three quarters in a row, has repeatedly worked against the best interests of New York’s 19th Congressional District. In office, he’s voted to: –end of molinaro info–

House Speaker Mike Johnson to travel to Binghamton for event with Rep. Molinaro

  –

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., will travel to Binghamton Thursday for an event with Republican U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro focused on law enforcement funding and public safety.

The Thursday meeting will be at the Broome County Sheriff’s Office and is said to feature sheriff’s deputies, neighboring law enforcement, other first responders and families. New York’s U.S. Senate seat, currently held by Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand, is the only statewide office on the ballot in 2024. The party will go through the nomination process to select a preferred candidate to challenge her. Republican businessman Josh Eisen and retired-NYPD Detective Mike Sapraicone are both seeking the party’s support.

–end of crony story—

The cynical view in one person’s imagination has watched an especially active “crack down” by law enforcement and law makers that is establishing reinforcement of a patriarchal ‘ole’ boy network that undermines women’s reproductive freedom.

As we consider this undermining of women’s reproductive freedom, some would mention that in the world of a woman, this is precisely undermining the economic freedom of too many women.  Although the link is typically ignored, it shouldn’t be ignored.

Patriarchy seems to delight in reminding we are a Constitutional Republic and not a democracy, at the same time the Constitutional Republic called PRC is labeled communism.  The opposite of democracy is neither of communism or capitalism, and to continue to play this bait-and-switch cannot be tolerated.

We must have the intellectual honesty to name each as they are.  As heard on a Bill Moyer’s show, governments don’t do democracy, people do.

Patriarchy has a long and sordid history of misogyny, that Christian Nationalism re-enhances.

So if this is our accepted process of governance, we need laws changed to tax the religious institutions that are currently so deeply involved in our political process.

One recognizes patriarchy is a political strategy sans gender involvement.  The local news reporting presentation showed Jason Garner express his intention to “try to become a more inclusive community”.

We are inclusive, but the stickler is whether there will be religious/political/commercial winners and losers as dictated by an ‘ol’-boy network consisting of validly questionable characters.

To have Jason Garner in the mix is supportive of inclusion.
