C-Span hosted a call=in discussion about the tech giant leaders and Congress.  Following was a C-Span discussion about whether Americans are religious. Some people recognize a connection.

Religion in the USA uncomfortably interferes in politics.  Separation of church and state seem to be ignored.

Money and greed are implicated in this theocracy.  How better to capture consumers to capitalism than to insinuate danger to one’s soul as the cost of independence.  This may be the underpinning of selling “Western Values” to the world.  War, so far, has been the vehicle of transmission.

We live in a culture that, in the view of some people, replaces spirituality and religious structure with capitalistic greed and hierarchy.  

The topic of control of social media is discussed by lawmakers who accept bribes under the Supreme Court decision called Citizens United.  Parenting is a primary responsibility of humanity; but it has been taken over by capitalistic hierarchy for profit with an apparent end of transfer of wealth from humanity to hierarchy.

Parents have a non-negotiable responsibility for their family but capitalistic hierarchy has side-tracked these priorities to economic survival.  Economic survival has glibly be named as the priority by bribed lawmakers byway of Citizens United as valid, “running government like a business”.

Families do not enjoy the freedom to act outside of this system, without risking annihilation economically and culturally speaking,

What parent, some working 2 and 3 jobs at poverty wages, can keep up with the technological information gathered by the leisure of children who are informed under this system that parents do not have power within families; other than to purchase the technology that promote this system.

Parents so busy maintaining said economic viability also have little to no time or energy to monitor so-called Representatives of the People.  And so we see the likes of Trump so-called representatives for We The People.  This is accepted by some people, with straight faces.

And so goes the US foreign policy of spreading “Western Values” around the world.
