FREE WILL
Outside of the protective patronage of institutionalized religion can be found direct relationship between people so inspired and The Creator.

For the modern pagan, perhaps the best phrase with which to conceptualize them is ‘land spirit’: the never-human spirits of the land that inhabit a mountain, a body of water, or a valley. A curious translation of the word is also “of the first/origin”: the stoixeia were in Greece before the Olympians, before the Titans. They are the primal elements of the land. Their rituals are also considered – and noted even in the Bible – as the origins of the pagan calendar of festivals.

The “gospels” left out of the institutionalized Bible are of interest. Of especial inspiration is “The Secret Teachings of Jesus, Four Gnostic Gospels” translated and with an introduction and notes by Marvin W. Meyer. Named are the particular, for lack of a better word, angels even of each part of a person’s body. Description of The Creator brings to the mind of this particular journeyer, quantum physics. Direct comfort and confidence is drawn from a description as a universal presence that is continually replying to requests with a “yes” that seems to imply Free Will.
To have left this Gospel out of the institutionalized Bible seems consistent with a system of hierarchy and control.
Noticing the institutionalization compliant to hierarchy in religion, it seems unavoidable to question other concepts. One such is the war in Ukraine. In the following Chris Hedges discussion, the perspective from Medea Benjamin seems quite FACTual and worthwhile to consider.

Several thoughts—
*Russia should not have invaded Ukraine
*NATO should not have crowded Russia on their direct borders
*The US insists Ukrainians wish for “Western values”, which seems a vague insinuation that “you too can live in fantasy land”
*Ukrainians can be forgiven falling for this line, considering so many Americans are still having trouble extracting ourselves from the same bate from Establishment
This relates to the topic of land spirits, not in religious belief, but in hierarchical indoctrination.
Yet humanity will always have Free Will incomprehensibly so. This appears to be the human part of the equation.
Institutions of higher learning have been in the news recently.
https://popularresistance.org/university-of-california-is-escalating-its-crackdown-on-dissent/ – Bosses all over the country are attacking workers’ fundamental rights. Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court inched toward letting employers sue unions for striking and signaled future moves in the same direction. The plaintiff in that case, however, was a privately owned concrete company. The UC is, at least in the public imagination, a bastion of civil liberties. If an employer like that can bully its workers into submission, every other employer in the country will know they can do even worse.

In the same way that “I wouldn’t be a Feminist if you weren’t a misogynist”, Affirmative Action wouldn’t be required without an exclusionary institutionalized system.
“Why are we rewarding children for privileges and advantages accrued by prior generations?” said Ivan Espinoza-Madrigal, the group’s executive director. “Your family’s last name and the size of your bank account are not a measure of merit, and should have no bearing on the college admissions process.”

Of course this raises the question as to why anyone would wish to be a part of this system. But then the history of such attacks against localized excellence such as found in Tulsa, Oklahoma, informs of a deeply predatory reality.
https://www.tulsahistory.org/exhibit/1921-tulsa-race-massacre/ – The 1921 Attack on Greenwood was one of the most significant events in Tulsa’s history. Following World War I, Tulsa was recognized nationally for its affluent African American community known as the Greenwood District. This thriving business district and surrounding residential area was referred to as “Black Wall Street.” In June 1921, a series of events nearly destroyed the entire Greenwood area.

Personally if indoctrination of Americans diminish enough, we may stop attempting to elbow our way to the front of capitalistic hierarchy in order to self-promote. Then a genuinely logical system can be embraced.
https://popularresistance.org/what-to-the-exploited-working-class-and-poor-in-a-capitalist-dictatorship-is-the-fourth-of-july/ – Even when slavery was finally outlawed in the Northern states, their economies were fully intertwined with the institution of slavery, with every occupation and institution from barrel makers to bankers to insurance companies to the textile industry and many more dependent on slavery. The authors of Complicity: How the North Promoted, Prolonged, and Profited from Slavery describe how New York City mayor Fernando Wood pushed for his city’s secession from the Union during the Civil War because “the lifeblood of New York City’s economy was cotton, the product most closely identified with the South and its defining system of labor: the slavery of millions of people of African descent.”

As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-
