BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
Judging from calls to C-Span recently, it would seem a growing number of Americans are noticing that any presumption about US democracy or freedom is instead a dictatorship by the Republican/Democratic duopoly.

State-controlled MSM (or is it MSM-controlled State?) uses a theater of a 2-Party system where there is only the American Capitalist Party. Money is the goal and the purpose….AKA corruption. That we’re deep in national debt discussions when the US Constitution spells out the antidote in the 14th Amendment, seems to be a campaign strategy for the D Branch and the R Branch of the duopoly.
That the matter of the debt has been on the back burner until the 11th hour is excellent political showmanship. Snake-oil salesmen probably used the same type of marketing
The same showmanship appears in the abortion discussion, in which the Democratic Party that failed to codify Roe v Wade when they could, now demand your vote in order to save your reproductive rights. By the way, your reproductive rights are not for the Democratic Party to save or not; reproductive rights are intrinsic from The Creator.

The author identifies the U.S. as exceptionist in that it serially violates its own constitution. The United Nations Charter forbids warmaking and covert operations, and since the United States government has ratified the UN Charter it is legally applicable as per the U.S. Constitution. Thus, the launching of wars and CIA cloak-and-dagger missions are in contravention of the U.S. Constitution, adducing the exceptionism of the U.S.
The U.S. hegemon demands that all nation states, excluding itself, must adhere to the rules based order, which is not the same as the rule of law. In this rules based international order, elitists in the periphery benefit themselves by subordinating their nation states to the U.S. hegemon.–end of mronline info–
Strong-men forces are needed to enforce rules based order. — https://popularresistance.org/atlanta-we-do-not-need-a-school-for-assassins/ –Atlanta, Georgia — Hundreds of Atlantans spoke out against the proposed authorization of $33.5 million taxpayer dollars for the Atlanta Police Foundation to fund the construction of ‘Cop City’ during the public comment section at city council on Monday. The council is expected to vote on the funding on June 5.The public comment lasted over seven hours and the nearly 300 community members who had the opportunity to speak were unanimous in their opposition to ‘Cop City’, which if built, would be an 85-acre urban warfare police training compound in the South River Forest in DeKalb County, Georgia.
The Atlanta Public Safety Training Center (‘Cop City’) will cost at least $90 million total, with most of the funding flowing from corporations such as Coca-Cola, Chick-fil-A, Cox Enterprises, UPS, Home Depot, Waffle House, Wells Fargo and more.

The lawyers for the Montana youth, who first filed their complaint in 2020, intend to bring a dozen expert witnesses to the stand.
This case is set to become a landmark for U.S. climate litigation. It will be the first youth climate lawsuit against a government to go to trial, and the first trial in a case challenging fossil fuel friendly policies on constitutional grounds. The trial is scheduled to begin on June 12 at the First District Judicial Court in Helena, Montana.
Late in her academic career, Curry began taking public positions on climate change that aligned more with climate science denial rather than credible climate science. In a 2007 op-ed for The Washington Post, Curry stated that “the current debate is whether warming matters, and whether we can afford to do anything about it.” A decade later — in 2017, the year she retired from Georgia Tech — Curry blogged that “we don’t know how much of recent warming can be attributed to humans.” But in 2014, the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) had concluded that human factors are “extremely likely” to be the dominant cause of observed warming — accountable for more than half of the rise in global average surface temperature — since the mid-20th century.

These aerosols have masked the level of anthropogenic heating caused by anthropogenic greenhouse gasses, meaning that as we clean up these pollutants, Earth’s temperature will rebound upwards, pushing us quickly beyond 1.5C.
But whether or not we’re “committed” to exceeding the 1.5C threshold isn’t really important. What matters is that we’ve already crossed into the danger zone. As the Guardian put it after 2021’s heat waves in western Canada, “Nowhere is safe.” Many more climate vulnerable places in the Global South left the realm of safety decades earlier.

From lakotalaw –Greetings to you from the Oglala Nation on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. It’s been a little while since we reached out to you via our friends at the Lakota People’s Law Project, but today seems like a good moment. My wife, Felipa, and I just finished meeting with the organizing committee as we prepare for the first-ever Two-Spirit Pow-Wow in Rapid City on June 3 in Rushmore Hall at the Monument. We’re also getting ready to attend an LGBTQ2S leadership summit in Sioux Falls this weekend. It’s a busy time!
As Two-Spirit activists, we’re always thrilled to share our story: not just the work to pass marriage equality and hate crime legislation on tribal nations, but also our personal journey we’ve taken together over the years. Recently, we sat down with the good folks at StoryCorps to talk about how we met. Please give it a listen!
I’m also happy to share that our story was picked up for broadcast on NPR’s Morning Edition. That’s big stuff for us and for our movement to increase acceptance for our LGBTQ2S community. Because, while tolerance and appreciation have grown throughout society over the past decade, we still see too many instances of hate, violence, and oppression — especially on reservations.
Part of what you’ll hear in our clip is the way Felipa was let go from her job taking care of children after we met. Felipa is one of the most patient, positive, loving people I have ever met — that’s part of why I married her, after all! — and to deny children her gifts is just wrong. That rejection really showed us how far our society had to go, and it helped inspire us to ask our people to do and be better.
I can assure you, we’re still working on that, every day. As always, you can learn more about our mission for LGBTQ2S justice at our Uniting Resilience website. And we’ll be back in touch with you soon to share our upcoming podcast appearance (for which Lakota Law is supplying audio footage of our appearances before tribal councils) and more about our next steps. We appreciate you!
Wopila — thank you for your friendship!
