LEADERS NEED TO EXPLAIN ACTIONS

Someone once said, if you can explain it to others, you probably understand it yourself.  This proved to be true.

One source told Hersh that the plotters knew the covert operation was an “act of war,” with some in the CIA and State Department warning, “Don’t do this. It’s stupid and will be a political nightmare if it comes out.”

Now, after China demanded that the United States “explain itself to the world” over the claims, Hungary has added its voice to the call for a full and proper investigation, demanding to know “who committed it and why.” Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has described the attack as a “scandalous” act of terrorism, insisting that the truth must be uncovered and that it should be of utmost international importance.–end of popularresistance info–

Such a timely question, “why?”……….

Hierarchical Establishment wields power to label respectable citizens as domestic terrorists which expands bureaucratic power over We The People when risk to local communities by hierarchical presumption becomes intolerable.

Apparently anti-fracking activists in the Southern Tier alerted hierarchical Establishment that local citizens would stand in protection of human and environmental rights, against predatory bureaucratic greed.  Law enforcement have used the domestic terrorist label apparently to frighten local concerned citizens into silence.

A rude awakening increases by We The People about sporadic use of law enforcement to crack down on human and environmental rights of local community members when profiteering is at stake, by big-money campaign donors.

This oligarchical system, when suggested about the Former USSR, seemed to have been blamed on communism:  Against which “we” have gone to war.

C-Span included a tweet that informed that cronyism isn’t only rife in one region.

C-Span–7:40AM–tweet–paraphrase–I’m concerned with law enforcement individual that become the mayor.

In the Southern Tier of NYS, a county sheriff who advocated for a “crack down” on activists, endorsed into the state legislature his sheriff’s deputy who has now become the county sheriff after the retirement of the previous county sheriff, and both of which individuals endorsed their choice for DA in the last election, who fortunately didn’t win his bid.  Cronyism isn’t illegal but feels indicative of a system that may be structured unfairly toward the general public.

C-S[an–7:47AM–caller–paraphrase–There are gangs in government.  (It’s about the money.)

So what is the harm in cronyism?  A C-Span caller has explained that the law enforcement department in a certain area is enduring a change in law in which law enforcement officers can be personally sued for their actions while doing their job.  One can see the drawback to disallowing immunity to law enforcement officers in their line of duty.  But the prelude of, for example cronyism, of corruption from bureaucrats is the rot that begins the deterioration of the entire system.  How should the public respond?

Citizens United was surely the biggest step down the path of corruption, in which politicians are bought into public office.

A recent train derailment has highlighted the reality of risk that is nationalized and profiteering that is privatized.  Law enforcement is needed to maintain such a system.https://www.aol.com/news/ohio-law-enforcement-links-erin-000636271.html         —

The report assesses the risk posed by Brockovich and other activist groups that have planned events in East Palestine in the wake of the Norfolk Southern train derailment and the controlled burn of vinyl chloride, a carcinogenic ingredient used in the production of plastic products after the derailment.

This situational awareness report is highly problematic, said former FBI agent Mike German, who worked on a recent Brennan Center report about issues with DHS fusion centers.

“Obviously, there is no reason to have included Erin Brockovich’s name or a description of her advocacy in a law enforcement intelligence report, much less a ‘situational awareness’ report by a state fusion center’s terrorism analysis unit,” German told Yahoo News. “Almost all of the activity described in this report is rightly protected by the First Amendment and poses no threat of harm, and therefore should be of no interest to terrorism intelligence units.”

“Erin Brokovich is listed as an ‘environmental activist’ and the brief mention of her falls under the heading of ‘various individuals or groups have responded to the train derailment,’” the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Jay Carey told Yahoo News in an email. “The fact that she is an ‘environmental activist’ that has ‘responded to the train derailment’ is factual and has been well documented by media accounts. Any inference otherwise is incorrect.”–end of aol info—-

Should Erin Brockovich be viewed as a concerned citizen?  Should we act accordingly?  If not, why not?

That degrowth is counter to either communism or capitalism may be the best reason to consider it.  https://mronline.org/2023/03/03/kohei-saito-marx-in-the-anthropocene-towards-the-idea-of-degrowth-communism/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=kohei-saito-marx-in-the-anthropocene-towards-the-idea-of-degrowth-communism&mc_cid=7ae9762896&mc_eid=2833cdb99b                  –Saito’s starting point is volumes I and III of Capital, where Marx worries that industrial, urbanized capitalism and large-scale agriculture disrupt ‘the metabolic interaction (Stoffwechsel) between man and the Earth’ (25). Saito convincingly argues that these sparse references are symptoms of a larger shift in Marx’s thought, evinced in other, previously unpublished work. Marx’s notebooks show that the references to metabolism are part of a larger ecological critique of capitalism.

Nature is, for Marx, not a passive material substratum for human action but a dynamic ecosystem, in which multiple species and substances generate rich living environments.

Lakotalaw steps in to remind that honor in public service is still possible.  —  We at the Lakota People’s Law Project mourn the loss of a good and important man this week. Retired South Dakota United States Senator James Abourezk, the architect of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), passed away in Sioux Falls on Friday, Feb. 24 on his 92nd birthday. Throughout his long life, Sen. Abourezk was a tireless champion of the rights of the Indigenous Peoples of North America, and throughout the decades, I was fortunate to work alongside him. Since 2005, he chaired Lakota Law’s Advisory Committee, and we will miss him greatly.

Just last year, Sen. Abourezk assisted our legal team in filing an amicus brief supporting ICWA with the United States Supreme Court. Later this year, the High Court could overturn the senator’s landmark piece of federal legislation — and that poses an imminent threat to Native families and sovereignty. The brief, which you can read here, highlights his unique and studied perspective on why it’s critical to keep Native kids in Native care.

I first met the senator in 1973 at the time of the Wounded Knee occupation, where he was attempting to peacefully end the U.S. government’s massive siege of American Indian Movement activists. As you may know, we commemorated the 50th anniversary of that momentous event earlier this month. Later, Sen. Abourezk proposed the formation of the American Indian Policy Review Commission to study legislation with the goal of addressing key issues in Indian Country. And during Obama’s years in the White House, Sen. Abourezk led the Lakota People’s Law Project in its drafting of ICWA’s strong federal enforcement guidelines.

The senator was also an ardent opponent of both the Dakota Access and Keystone XL oil pipelines. In the wake of Standing Rock’s resistance to Dakota Access, when Lakota Law co-director Chase Iron Eyes was accused of domestic terrorism after an invasive surveillance campaign by law enforcement and militarized private security, he rallied to Chase’s side. Chase was, of course, exonerated.

Senator Abourezk will be remembered for his grit and wit by all of us here at Lakota Law, millions of Americans, and many Lakota People for whom he had so much love. He is survived by his wife, Sanaa Dieb, two daughters and two sons, a stepdaughter, and a score of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Our sincere condolences to his family. We at Lakota Law pledge to honor the senator’s legacy as a friend to Turtle Island by doing all we can to protect ICWA and defend Native families, communities, and sovereignty.

Thank you for all your support!

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-

This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?
The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNbdkuU1edw          —#GreenSocialist Notes #76
Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ7kn2-GEmM       —

Centralization is the lifeblood of the R&D duopoly.  It’s the way to enforce capitalism onto workers in 2022.———————–We can do better———-

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
