THE PUBLIC AS ENABLERS

And the USA still denies its citizens a 1-payer comprehensive public health care system that would be less costly, more efficient, and inclusive.

https://popularresistance.org/ralph-nader-explains-why-democrats-lost-the-house/        –The wreckage of this corporate coup is appalling, endless and futile wars to enrich a military-industrial complex that bleeds the US Treasury of half of all discretionary spending, de-industrialization that has turned US cities into decayed ruins, the slashing and privatization of social programs including education, utility services, and healthcare, which so over one million Americans account for one-fifth of global deaths from COVID, although we are 4% of the world’s population.

From portside–           https://portside.org/2022-11-27/industrial-policy-without-industrial-unions?utm_source=portside-general&utm_medium=email            —

Democrats are giddy about the arrival of green industrial policy. With last year’s bipartisan infrastructure law, CHIPS, and the new Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Congress has poured money into setting off green growth. The main messaging behind this policy is that government investment can create attractive jobs, and a new political base, by manufacturing the clean technologies of the future.

If you squint, you could almost mistake the IRA’s robust Buy American provisions for worker protections. They are often mentioned in the same sentence. But while new spending is likely to onshore manufacturing, it largely lacks provisions ensuring that those new jobs will adhere to high-road labor standards, let alone that they will be unionized.–end of portside info–

Politicians owned by big-money campaign donors byway of Citizens United have manufactured policies and passed laws that have surgically removed We The People of ability to compete in the global market that works so well for big-money campaign donors.  Aside from the above portside link that suggests with manufacturing in the USA which is surely logical, it does not follow that US workers will benefit economically.

Not to beleaguer the topic but until We The People absorb the enormity of the exploitation of the US public, here we go again.  Here’s an eye-popping FACT of exploitation of We The People that has surgically mandated that sole props in the USA will be unable to participate against big-money campaign donors in the world market place—–

It seems pertinent as Establishment MSM promotes small-business Saturday,  to be aware of the roadblocks Establishment has built around free markets.  Consider actions promulgated by elected leaders over several decades and in recent years that make small-business Saturday as travesty toward free markets.

On the topic of an economy that functions in a democratic (small d) Constitutional republic, Establishment seems to have superimposed capitalism over free market principles.  Reasons supporting this view—

*Trade agreements promoted by politicians bought into positions of power byway of Citizens United have sent jobs and manufacturing to foreign nations

*Family income has been reduced dramatically due to trade agreements

*Said trade agreements have included language that prioritizes interests of multi-national corporations over local-community human rights and rights of nature

*When manufacturing is predominantly foreign, US consumers are at the mercy of foreign nations and a questionable supply chain

*The Trump tariff was imposed when tariffs are traditionally used to balance import/export ratios to ensure money isn’t flowing out of the US but instead is flowing into the US

*To impose a tariff on imports when manufacturing has been legislatively forced to foreign nations is predatory toward US consumers and supports inflation

*Previous to current Pyramid-Scheme economics, sole-proprietorship business which is the core of free markets, were undermined legislatively in favor of corporate chains

*Recently sole props have used the internet to purchase low-cost products from overseas in order to maintain local-community store fronts

*The Trump tariff short-circuited this ability for sole props to so participate in such global free market activity because a sole prop is taxed personally to the owner and so imposes the tariff directly upon said sole proprietor, while corporations are legislatively taxed more favorably to their business interest

*And so precision predatory behavior toward We The People by corporate/politician collaboration is US economic policy

These are reasons that indoctrination of the US public that capitalism is democracy and free markets, needs to be discussed, made clear to a somnolent public, and explained by bureaucrats who have justified the Trump tariff by calling it a geopolitical advantage without specifying the beneficiary, who may be the ‘splainer.  Recently many of the ‘splainers and lawmakers are also the chain retailers and profiteers.

The call-in discussion on C-Span this morning was of whether callers approved of a divided Congress.  Someone called to remind listeners that the riots in China seem indicative of a 1-Party rule, and that Party being Communism.  In contrast, the Democratic/Republican Duopoly are sufficiently slick to pretend to choice when theirs is the Capitalist Party.

A currently somnolent US public seems to accept this as easily as it has accepted the Trump tariff, as though that wasn’t the opening salvo for inflation.

Russia is committing mass death and destruction upon Ukraine local communities, but Russia doesn’t seem to have misled anyone about expectations that were expressed to NATO and the commensurate understanding of those expressions by NATO.

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-

This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?
The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNbdkuU1edw          —#GreenSocialist Notes #76
Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ7kn2-GEmM       —

Ross Perot in 1992 on NAFTA and the “Giant Sucking Sound”

Centralization is the lifeblood of the R&D duopoly.  It’s the way to enforce capitalism onto workers in 2022.———————–We can do better———-

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
