How is the First Amendment subverted by collaboration between legislators and big-money donors?  One’s opinion imagines the lack of an actual Free Press in the USA and censorship of Free Speech when money is named as Free Speech and then used to censor diverse views from the actual public.
C-Span offered a platform for the public to voice views.  A large portion of the conversation was about the make-up of the Supreme Court along with discussion about the US Constitution.

Another caller who said he was a Professor to teach concepts of the US Constitution mentioned that the First Amendment upheld rights.  These rights in the First Amendment seem to suggest democracy.  The definition of democracy seems to be an understandable way of presenting ideas.

Some people use the word democracy in place of First Amendment in discussion due to simplicity of conveying an idea when using First Amendment could leave too many people in the dark.  It is vernacular.
When the US Constitution describes principles equitable to democracy, a phrase to convey principles about which one speaks is democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.
The US Constitution does not support capitalism necessarily, and yet capitalistic hierarchical Establishment along with state-run-corporate-owned MSM (not a Free Press) has consistently over a number of years equated capitalism with democracy.  This is not a FACTual equation.
Yet capitalistic hierarchical Establishment continues to scold use of democracy while at the same time equating free markets with capitalism.  Capitalism is hierarchical and predatory and free markets suppose fairness and equity, along with a full understanding of the transaction between all parties.
C-Span is helpful in interaction between different people, rather than the bought-and-paid-for soundbites from state-run-corporate-owned MSM.
A conversation about the differences between communism and capitalism could be informative, since Establishment attempts vilifying one while holding up the other as the model of excellence in governing.
Along with this capitalism/communism discussion could also be comparison to the US Constitution by a Constitutional Professor, perhaps 2 or 3 so-educated people.
