BE MINDFUL OF THE RED HERRING

Some people notice globalism isn’t about local communities as much as it is about upper echelon world oligarchs.    This feels like dictatorship on a whole new level.

Both are half-brothers of the former al-Qaida leader, who was killed by U.S. special forces in Pakistan in 2011.

Meanwhile, many American voters are attempting to self-govern.  Socialism may connote self-governance more than it does an economic model.  Capitalists seem to continue to speak to nothing other than economic models, which is their tool of power retention, in the view of some people.

C-Span hosted a discussion about Third Parties.  https://www.c-span.org/video/?522002-101/washington-journal-bernard-tamas-discusses-history-parties-us            –JULY 31, 2022  | PART OF WASHINGTON JOURNAL 07/31/2022

Washington Journal

Bernard Tamas on the History of Third Parties in the U.S.

Third party expert Bernard Tamas of Valdosta State University talked about the formation of the new Forward Party and the history of third parties in the United States.–end of c-span info–

One is pleased that the Forward Party received notice from C-Span.  One is less pleased with the involvement of 2 Republicans Christie Todd Whitman and David Jolly.  A vital question they should be asked is their position on a woman’s right to control her own body and their position on Climate Change as associated with corporate profits.  One believes all 3 of Yang, Whitman, and Jolly promote capitalism which is FACTually hierarchical in character.

In contrast the Green Party seems to promote local-community interests.

Also the People’s Party is another voice to be heard.

Little is mentioned anymore, about the 9/11 attack in NYC.  Some implicated in that attack have retained respect from so-called leaders in the USA and apparently the UK. Along with association between the UK, USA, and Saudi Arabia, US local community members have been subjected to the enhanced control from the Patriot Act.  This is a topic for conversation.  The Patriot Act cracked down on US citizens more than anyone else.  Within this crack down, White Supremacy has expanded.

That the world elite retain relationship and power over We The People is enhanced by Citizens United that legalized without legitimizing the corruption of buying into office, politicians.

A point can be made that the Teapot Dome wasn’t a scandal at one point in time.  One needs explanations of the reason for the Patriot Act, while laws have been passed that seem to legalize actions such as occurred in the Teapot Dome Scandal.  What was once known as a scandal, feels currently legal due to the Citizens United decision handed down by the Supreme Court.   One recently was enlightened by reading the book Killers of The Flower Moon.

https://potus-geeks.livejournal.com/916537.html                 –This was a time when unscrupulous oil men pursued the great wealth that came with the oil rights on Osage land. A naive President Warren Harding had been taken advantage of by oil men in what became known as the Teapot Dome Scandal, and the law had yet to catch up with those whose money trumped the rule of law.

Undermining of concepts labeled as socialism seems typical by political Parties who pose as capitalists, which is nothing if not hierarchical.  The hierarchy so far isn’t based upon democracy, fairness, justice, but quite apparently it is based upon power and money.  Until this changes, one doesn’t understand the acceptance of such hierarchy.

When hierarchical indoctrination of the electorate eases, perhaps the universal benefits of a socialist economy can be discussed.

https://portside.org/2022-07-30/what-would-be-different-about-socialist-economy?utm_source=portside-general&utm_medium=email     –This minor detail—more than enough being produced but billions of people struggling—is replicated in almost all areas: housing, incomes, health care, education etc. The problem is that, while capitalism excels in producing masses of things, it fails dismally in distributing them in any equitable way.

Amidst the notoriety of the apology from the Pope about actions toward Indigenous children of the past, lakotalaw keeps in the forefront the topic of children in 2022.  The topic remains human and environmental rights.—-

From lakotalaw——

Warm greetings to you from Pine Ridge. This week, I was honored to join the Carter Center’s Forum on Human Rights for an important discussion of the legal attack on the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) in the Supreme Court and the ramifications overturning it would have for tribal sovereignty. My deep thanks to the Carter Center for hosting this important hour-long conversation, which also addressed the epidemic of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People.

As you’re likely well aware by now, Big Oil law firm Gibson-Dunn is representing Texas, two other states, and adoptive white parents in a potential landmark case to be heard this fall by the Supreme Court. The plaintiffs seek to overturn ICWA, a critical federal law designed to keep Native children in Native care. Lakota Law is in the process of filing an amicus brief representing the perspective of the law’s principal author, former S.D. Sen. James Abourezk, who also chairs our advisory board.

It’s an existential moment — not just for our children and families, but also for our sovereignty as Indigenous nations. GIbson Dunn doesn’t normally take on this type of pro bono litigation, but it’s not too difficult to connect the dots of why they may be doing so now. Eroding the rights of tribes to assign placement of their children within Native kinship care would be a domino that could lead to eliminating tribal control of much else (including mineral rights). Unless we fight with all we’ve got, the High Court could be on the verge of another abysmal decision, this time reaffirming the centuries-long pattern of broken promises, treaty violations, and the sidelining of tribal self-determination.

I urge you to take some time and watch our discussion. In this video, you’ll also get to see a pair of powerful clips featuring Russell Means, a founder of the American Indian Movement who also helped inspire the founding of Lakota Law. Every bit of Native and environmental advocacy we engage in together stands on the broad shoulders of Russell and other leading lights, including Lakota Law organizers Phyllis Young and Madonna Thunder Hawk. Together with you, we always aim to honor the legacy of our elders and ancestors in service of our young ones and the generations to come.

Wopila tanka — thank you for your friendship and activism!

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-
This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?
The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNbdkuU1edw          —#GreenSocialist Notes #76
Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ7kn2-GEmM       —

Ross Perot in 1992 on NAFTA and the “Giant Sucking Sound”

Centralization is the lifeblood of the R&D duopoly.  It’s the way to enforce capitalism onto workers in 2022.———————–We can do better———-

That “we are a 2-Party system” is a fabrication of the Republican/Democratic duopoly and spread by MSM.  In FACT the majority of voters aren’t either registered Democratic or Republican.  The censorship about this info must be envied by bureaucrats of the Former USSR and their simplistic style of 1-Party elections.

Regardless of which character sits in the Oval Office, We The People have work to do to maintain principles of our democratic (small d) Constitutional republic.  Several items to challenge—*We need the integrity of ranked-choice voting so voters won’t feel compelled to “hold your nose and vote”*Censored debates must be stopped.  The Democratic/Republican duopoly pretends to legitimate debates in what is nothing other than another campaign show.  Independent debates run by uninterested sponsors such as The League of Women Voters, must be restored.  (Access www.debates.org to understand the extent of duopoly control).  The so-called Debate Commission is a corporation to promote the Democratic corporation and Republican corporation, not to inform We The People*Challenge and stop gerrymandering that is a trick especially of the Republican branch of the duopoly.*Stop voter suppression by political Parties, and especially confront and stop Party suppression, which is the over-arching approach to voter suppression.  Party suppression seems to have been the responsibility of the Democratic corporation*Promote by law ranked-choice voting, so we won’t be told again, by D&R duopoly, to “hold your nose and vote”
If these issues are handled, our next elections can be honorable.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!

Along with Climate Change, many people oppose the imperialism of the USA under control of the Republican/Democratic duopoly.  Use of the wealth of our nation should be to enhance quality of life for We The People rather than for imperialism.  Some people vote accordingly.
