JUSTICE THAT ISN’T EQUAL
Patriarchy expects enabling from others——

This is drastically affecting Black home buyers. Investors are targeting Black neighborhoods where they are buying homes in bulk and then hiking rents by 40 percent, according to a new congressional report.–end moguldom info–
The tragedy described on this morning’s local news is a reminder that enablers often have a need of approval that harms others, along with themselves. As women lose rights of control over their own body, the topic of misogyny in open public becomes more important. The story described in the Moguldom report in the link above isn’t as titillating, perhaps because it doesn’t include sex, which is a topic that surely sells.
Till, who was from Chicago, was visiting relatives in Mississippi when he entered the store where Donham, then 21, was working on Aug. 24, 1955. A Till relative who was there, Wheeler Parker, told AP that Till whistled at the woman. Donham testified in court that Till also grabbed her and made a lewd comment.
Two nights later, Donham’s then-husband, Roy Bryant, and his half-brother, J.W. Milam, showed up armed at the rural Leflore County home of Till’s great-uncle, Mose Wright, looking for the youth. Till’s brutalized body, weighted down by a fan, was pulled from a river days later in another county. His mother’s decision to open the casket so mourners in Chicago could see what had happened helped galvanize the building civil rights movement of the time.Wright testified during the murder trial that a person with a voice “lighter” than a man’s identified Till from inside a pickup truck and the abductors took him away. Other evidence in FBI files indicates that earlier that same night, Donham told her husband at least two other Black men were not the right person.–end of wbng info–
Women have a diminished opportunity in life when they can be harassed in public, have no control over their own bodies and reproduction, and cannot freely vote. Regardless of circumstances, in a male/female dust up, generally the female is not the perpetrator. This is painting with a wide brush, but probably generally FACTual. And so the struggle goes on for women to function in patriarchy, which system, by the way also paints with a broad brush.
From counterpunch— https://www.counterpunch.org/2022/06/30/the-supreme-court-and-the-abuse-of-history-rights-will-always-lose/ –The Supreme Court under Chief Justice John Roberts is the most reactionary ever in American history. Its Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision taking away abortion rights from American women is the first time the Court has ever overturned a constitutional precedent to take away rights. But let us not forget that this Court has also killed the Voting Rights Act by declaring most of it unconstitutional in Shelby County v. Holder and Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee. It has also killed union rights and unleashed corporate political money in Citizens United. And it has consistently chipped away at the separation of Church and State as evidenced in the recent Carson v. Makin. For a Chief Justice so worried about his legacy and the reputation of the Court, history will not be kind to him.

That Donham was acting in compliance to patriarchal mores isn’t so far from some on the Supreme Court.
Neither branch of the Democratic or Republican political party corporations have worked toward policies that promote interests of We The People, but are using US human resources (people) and US natural resources (environment) to promote global US oligarchical interests, in one person’s view. Surely any presumption of free and fair elections are disingenuous. — https://www.matthewhohforsenate.org/hoh-slams-democratic-partys-voter-intimidation-campaign/ —Today Matthew Hoh, who is seeking the North Carolina Green Party nomination for US Senate, condemned the Democratic Party for launching a massive and deceptive voter intimidation campaign attempting to bully North Carolina voters into removing their names from a petition to qualify the Green Party for ballot access.
“We’ve been hearing from folks across the state that they’re being bombarded with phone calls, text messages, and even people coming to their houses demanding to remove their signature from the Green Party petition,” said Rose Roby, Campaign Manager for Matthew Hoh. “We have recorded evidence of these callers falsely representing themselves as calling on behalf of the Green Party, while making misleading to outright false claims to pressure people to remove their names from a petition they already signed. Our campaign team has seen a lot of dirty tricks from the establishment parties over the years, but none of us has ever seen such a massive, deceitful, and shameless campaign of voter intimidation to try to sabotage a successful grassroots petition drive.”

From portside — https://portside.org/2022-06-29/europeans-have-far-more-reproductive-freedom-americans?utm_source=portside-general&utm_medium=email —In response, conservatives have cried hypocrisy, both to deflect criticism and to cast doubt on European institutions in general. “Many of the leaders who criticized the United States for the decision have laws that are either comparable to the Mississippi law at the center of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, which outlawed abortion past the 15th week of pregnancy,” Charles Hilu writes at National Review. “Americans should be very skeptical of the opinions of leaders across the pond.”
But this is not true on multiple levels.

This would be an appropriate moment to welcome into NATO, Sweden and Finland, that are wealthy socialist nations that provide their citizens universal health care. Their economic contribution in supporting their next-door neighbors will permit the USA to protect their own citizens more honorably with universal health care……as a small start to equity for Americans. While we may be “exceptional”, we also are indoctrinated and apparently dull witted. Perhaps their example of socialist excellence will dissuade the Ukraine from fascist policies that are dangerous. Perhaps even the USA will benefit from the examples of socialist Sweden and socialist Finland.

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-
This is a reminder of how much we don’t know. This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought. We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.
One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate. Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United. But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy. Who knew?
The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNbdkuU1edw —#GreenSocialist Notes #76
Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate. Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary. This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People. Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.
The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt.
