Reality flees as the public is indoctrinated to accept nonsense.  Consider tariffs.  C-Span hosted a discussion about inflation with another expert  — https://www.c-span.org/video/?521142-5/washington-journal-douglas-holtz-eakin-discusses-us-economy-amp-biden-administration-economic    –JUNE 21, 2022  | PART OF WASHINGTON JOURNAL 06/21/2022

8:40AM–caller–paraphrase—-speak to tariffs.

Guest–paraphrase–tariffs don’t cause inflation.

With all due respect, what a nothing answer.  This was another hierarchical Establishment deflection.  Let’s consider the Trump tariffs put in place by another so-called economic expert Trump.  Why use tariffs?  Traditionally the reason was that we, in our moments of sanity as a nation, desired more exports than imports.  The reason was that wealth was flowing into the USA, rather than leaving the USA.  Tariffs made foreign goods more expensive for consumers to buy than US-made goods, increasing employment and indeed manufacturing and retail profits for corporations in the USA.  In a sane nation with sane leaders, tariffs would be used to encourage US consumers to purchase US-made products to increase imports that would enrich the USA.  Now that we are working off of principles of lunacy with economic clowns in charge, tariffs are nothing but a tax on consumers, with said tax going to the US government for no specific reason.  Capisce?….or in English Capeesh?….And so we veer down the economic highway like a gang of drunken sailors as we “run government like a business”, right off the road and into a tree….

Since our trade agreements by US Administrations that sent US manufacturing overseas, bankrupting the US economy, there is no reason to impose a tariff on imports, which are NOT paid by foreign manufacturers or nations, but are paid by US consumers.

For what reason do we have tariffs on products?  This is absolutely nothing but a tax on consumers.  This is a Trump tariff.  Joe Biden is not addressing this.  Both Administrations are screwing the US public.  The US public seem too intellectually constipated to realize this.

And by the way, the urban-hero Obama was manic in favor of TPP, which was a trade agreement that supported sending US manufacturing overseas, but also violated human and environmental rights of local US communities to reinforcement control by commercial interests; which feels quite fascist to some people.  As Zerlina Maxwell said, “everybody does it”.  Indeed…..

Some people are suspicious of “the experts”.  —  https://www.counterpunch.org/2022/06/21/the-age-of-stupidity-from-johnson-and-biden-to-putin-and-xi-jinping/  —

I have always been interested in pure stupidity in history, believing it to be a quality that intelligent people shy away from and underrate, often thinking that this is too crass and simple-minded an explanation for turning points in history. When commercial interests control governance, a definition is fascism.  Some people believe the US is so leaning toward fascism, as to be unable to recognize our support for this system overseas. — https://towardfreedom.org/story/admin-admin/ahead-of-rev-barbers-moral-march-u-s-groups-call-out-hypocrisy-of-54b-ukraine-war-funding/           —

In a fascist-leaning government, focus is on big-money interests, especially in light of Citizens United, rather than on We The People. — https://portside.org/2022-06-20/fight-inflation-fed-declaring-war-workers?utm_source=portside-general&utm_medium=email—Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell plans to address sky-high inflation by hiking interest rates — acknowledging that doing so will suppress wages and worker power. Capitalist-style forces throughout history and across the globe have used violence and aggression against peaceful local communities to exploit human resources (people) and natural resources (environment) for personal gain.  The US corporate-owned-state-influenced MSM reports little to nothing about extraordinary efforts by local communities in South America to act democratically.  Strong Indigenous manifestation may be a reason for the extraordinarily strong democratic display in South America—-https://towardfreedom.org/story/archives/americas/what-petro-hernandez-offer-colombias-urban-poor-as-they-head-off-in-the-second-round-presidential-election/       —

Slavery is capitalism on steroids.  The USA exemplified this degree of capitalism, to an extent that indoctrination of too many people seems to have happened.  Some of those most impacted by past slavery envision as recompense, climbing the ladder of capitalism in order to obtain so-called wealth.  An apt question is, who do these people who are eager to climb said ladder, anticipate exploiting in order to become a member of said hierarchy?

FACTually speaking, said ladder climbers are experiencing an economic wet dream, while playing into the delusions of the system that will never transform into one of integrity.

And so, pertaining to, for example, support of Ukraine, the excuse of “spreading democracy around the globe” is nothing but the ages-old imperialism of capitalists.

Some people believe the public of North America could learn something from the public of South America.  And why are so many South Americans rushing the border?  For the same reason that the most self-involved US citizens wish to climb the capitalist ladder rather than change a despicable system.  Greed and corruption respect no border or group of people.

https://portside.org/2022-06-20/summit-americas-underlines-widespread-discontent-us-policy?utm_source=portside-general&utm_medium=email   –Criticisms of the United States and OAS underlined the need to revive regional integration initiatives independent of U.S. influence.

I continue to advocate for a return to the system from which The Founders are said to have borrowed principles for the US Constitution, which is Indigenous People and specifically the Haudenosaunee.

From lakotalaw (not Haudenosaunee)  —  Greetings! If you’ve been with us for some time, you already know I helped found this organization to make sure our Lakota children thrive. Since 2004, we have never stopped working to keep Native kids in Native care, where they can learn our cultural heritage from their elders and kinship circles.

At our Standing Rock kinship care home, we provide at-risk children a safe space to learn and grow. Here at the Cheyenne River Nation, I’m leading a community-wide effort to create a tribally-run Child Welfare Department. And nationally, our legal team is preparing an amicus brief to protect the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) in the Supreme Court. All of these things will create a brighter future for our young ones — and we couldn’t do any of it without you. So today, I ask you to fund this important mission and empower us to continue tackling this issue at levels ranging from a single child to the highest court in the land.

Allow me to share a little more with you about these efforts. First, as we near the deadline to submit our ICWA amicus brief to the Supreme Court, our legal team has been interfacing with other organizations who are also writing briefs for the Brackeen v. Haaland case. By coordinating, we’ll ensure all important arguments are made in the best possible way, and our participation is key because we’re writing in conjunction with former S.D. Sen. James Abouresk, the primary author of the original bill. Our brief will be complete soon, and our public relations team is planning some novel methods to spread the word and put pressure on people in D.C. Powerful lawyers aligned with Big Oil have attacked the constitutionality of ICWA with all they have, and this means the stakes couldn’t be higher for Native kids and tribal sovereignty.

Meanwhile, my own organizing focuses right here in my community at Cheyenne River. As a tangible contribution to defend the spirit of ICWA, our team is moving forward to create a tribal child welfare department. Last week, we hosted more than a dozen tribal members at an official hearing where family members testified about losing children to the system in South Dakota. With no tribally-administered Child Protective Services program on our rez, foster care and adoption is administered by the state, which has an abysmal track record of abiding by ICWA. Right now, 90 percent of Native children taken from their families in South Dakota still end up in non-Native foster care. That’s completely unacceptable, and it’s why we’re working directly with tribal officials to establish an entity that will keep them safe with those who love them.

Finally, some great news from our kinship care home at Standing Rock. It now has a name — Chantewašte House (chon-tay-wash-tay, meaning to be happy, content, cheerful, or joyful) — and it is currently sheltering three children. We had a 1-year-old stay for a while earlier this year, and our foster parent, Vanessa Defender, continues to do wonderful work providing a safe haven for the little ones.

Please stay tuned for more updates on all of the above. Once again, I thank you for being there with us through this journey. It’s incredible stuff we’re accomplishing. Together we’re aiding the renewal of our next generation and those who will follow.

Wopila tanka — my gratitude for all you do!

US Has No Moral Authority! [News + Comedy]      –leecamp is a censored comedian.

****As one who would be perfectly contented to retain the Senate if they adhered to Oaths of Office more than to Citizens United campaign donations, one is interested in a topic raised as to the reason we maintain the US Senate—-

This is a reminder of how much we don’t know.  This brings one around to Howie Hawkins, who continues to impress with original thought.  We also could acknowledge Hawkins often speaks to censored information.

One such topic about which one would never have even considered, is whether the USA needs The Senate.  Apparently The Senate is little other than expensive window dressing, promoting hierarchical interests, and too often placed in positions of power by big-money via Citizens United.  But the public gets to fund this curiosity of pompous supremacy.  Who knew?

The Democratic Branch of the Republican/Democratic Duopoly are especially functional in voter suppression—–https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNbdkuU1edw          —#GreenSocialist Notes #76

Howie Hawkins brings up the concept of whether the USA needs the Senate.  Apparently according to some people, the Senate isn’t necessary.  This brings up the blockage from the Senate of many bills that would benefit We The People.  Combined with Citizens United that promotes big-money interest choice of Senators, in which laws are passed that benefit big-money interest rather than We The People, and that We The People support economically, the members of the Senate, this seems a good topic for discussion.

The US Constitution doesn’t seem to sanction elections run by political Parties, and to permit control of political debates by political Parties seems equally corrupt.

WITHDRAWS SUPPORT FROM FINAL PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE–end of lwv info–Murray Bookchin, who founded social ecology, a theory that strongly influenced early Green Socialist thought, strongly advocated the discussion and study group as the first step of any revolutionary movement. A group of individuals meets to expand their knowledge of radical thought and form a radical intellectual community; through the give and take of discussion, can eventually form ideas for next steps in organizing and political activity. According to Bookchin, study groups help create solidarity and a shared language — with a shared coherent vision — for building a mass, organizing, political movement!
